mailman Report post Posted February 24, 2020 Help is needed! Me and the wife is considering going west from Ohio to Ca. and Oregon via RT 80 . The problem is the weather and snow in the mountain , August, September, October. Because maybe we need to fly rather than drive. We are opened to all thoughts of those who maybe drove this northern route. You may send private messages via FMCA route. Our rig is a Class C Winnebago 32 ft 2014 with car in tow. 0 rayin Report post Posted February 24, 2020 Only you can make that call. It depends on your travel time, if you don't have extra days to layover until the interstate is cleared, flying might be best. I don't normally do PMs.
0 f433921 Report post Posted February 24, 2020 Shouldn't be any problem at all in Aug or Sept, Oct. storm should cause any long delays. Jim
0 manholt Report post Posted February 24, 2020 Tim. I have been on 80 many times during those Months...you might see some snow in the higher elevations, but seldom on Interstate and if you get some flurries in October, it won't stick! We'll be going to Tucson March 20th and have a better chance for snow on 10, than you'll have on 80! Enjoy the ride!
