bounder04 Report post Posted July 20, 2020 I have a 2004 Fleetwood Bounder with a Chevy Workhorse Engine. I had my oil changed on May 6, 2020 at 55986 miles. Recently my "Change Engine oil" message came on. When I got home, I checked the oil and the level is full and oil looked good on the dip stick. I reset the message so it would go away and on my next trip the message was back again. Could there be something else going on that should be checked? manholt Report post Posted July 20, 2020 I suspect you have a bad oil level probe (sender)).
ianbullock Report post Posted July 20, 2020 Maybe you are not resetting the oil life monitor correctly. Check your owner's manual for instructions.
jleamont Report post Posted July 20, 2020 (edited) As Ian mentioned above. Sounds like they changed the oil and didn't reset the oil life indicator. Most shops you have to advise them of it, for it to get properly reset. Edited July 20, 2020 by jleamont
hermanmullins Report post Posted July 20, 2020 On my truck it's Key on step on the accelerator three time and turn off the key. That should do is, at least on a GM product. Herman
