What type of medical facility would be best for when the time comes? Clinic, hospital? worst part is, we don't even know where we're going to be then.............. kaypsmith Report post Posted June 25, 2021 A1C is a blood test to determine a three month average of the glucose (sugar) level in the blood. You can even purchase a self check kit at most drug stores. 11 hours ago, tom73 said: worst part is, we don't even know where we're going to be then.......... Ask the Dr., if the self test is acceptable for him? If so, you can call the Dr with the results.
NanaAdventures Report post Posted June 27, 2021 Check with your insurance for the nationwide lab network in your plan. Then the doctor can submit the order electronically. And you can have the test done wherever you are. Unless you are enrolled in a local HMO plan.

We'll see what the insurance company (Humana/Medicare) says when the time comes.
