rfaticanti Report post Posted October 12, 2021 Last year I replaced 6 tires on my motorhome with Michelin tires. I waited until this year to replace the tags. Can I put Continental tires on the tags instead of Michelin?

Can I put Continental tires on the tags instead of Michelin? Welcome to the forum. I am assuming the 6 you bought last year were Continentals right? If that is correct than There is no reason not to. I would (personal preference) would move the steer tiers to the tag and put the new ones on the steer position. I like having the newest on the front. rfaticanti Report post Posted October 12, 2021 As I previously wrote, last year I put Michelin tires on the other six tires. I want to know if I can mix tire brands on the tag axle.
tom73 Report post Posted October 13, 2021 The tag really doesn't care what brand is on it. It's not like the steer that can cause safety issues with handling, not like a drive axle where you have one tire having slightly larger diameter or different diameters on each side. Both wheels on the tag freewheel and are not connected to each other or any other tire/wheel combination.
