RJEJ Report post Posted September 28, 2011 Last year we traveled from Fort Smith, AR to Checotah, OK on I-40 and then Checotah to Sherman, TX on Highway 69. 0 hermanmullins Report post Posted September 28, 2011 dbik86i, I have traveled Hwy 69 in Oklahoma for the last 40+ years. We were on it in the MH the first week in September. I can assure you that it has not gotten any better. Of all the Hwys in OK it has to be the worst. All long the way you will see the trucks driving in the left lane because it it a little bit smoother, but not much. On our last time through there I told the wife that I would drive to OK City and take I-35 before I would take the MH on that road again, and we live in McKinney, TX. 0 tbutler Report post Posted September 29, 2011 We frequently drive Hwy 69 in OK when traveling from Texas to Missouri. I drive at speeds that match the road as much as possible. It surely is rough but there are also other roads that rough in Alabama, Mississippi and other places. Taking Hwy 69 saves me time and money so it is a regular route for us.
