peterp31 Report post Posted August 17, 2012 Our 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee doesn't want to travel anymore. We are debating whether to install a Remco transmission pump on our 2006 Toyota Highlander OR purchase a Honda CR-V. Anyone have any comments? We would appreciate it. desertdeals69 Report post Posted August 17, 2012 I would recomend getting a vehicle with a standard transmission. The less modifications you have to make the better off you are. Just look at the postings on this forum with all of the unhappy results from misinformation and products. I tow a 99 Silverado 1/2 ton with a 5 speed manual transmission for over 100,000 miles. five Report post Posted August 17, 2012 CRV, one of the only vehicles where the manufacturer says you can pull it four down and tells you how to do it in the manual. Plus you get Honda's reliability and economy.

rossboyer Report post Posted August 18, 2012 We have towed A Chevrolet Equinox, 2 wheel drive (4 wheel drive will tow too), pull one fuse (installed a switch to eliminate pulling the fuse) about 20,000 miles without any problems. I can even put my small Cricket golf cart inside while towing. But you need to be satisfied with what you want to tow.
nalcon Report post Posted August 20, 2012 We are very happy with our 2010 CR-V toad. Bought it mainly for towing just wish we could use it more.
