ambyn Report post Posted September 26, 2012 My 8 year old Trojan T-105s in our 05 Expedition likely need to be replaced. I am on the East coast (ME now and FL before long) and looking for where I can get the best price on 4 new T-105s??? I have never equalized the batteries and wonder if doing it will extend their life or performance??? Thanks, Amby N.
dickandlois Report post Posted September 26, 2012 Try this link and add your location information for the closest dealer. http://www.trojanbattery.com/Products/Marine-RV.aspx You could buy them on line, but you would have shipping fees. Rich.
tomzleapin Report post Posted October 21, 2012 Last winter I purchased batteries from this company: http://usabatterysales.com/. They contract with local wholesalers and offer free delivery and no sales tax. When I bought mine, I made arrangements to pick them up at the wholesaler. I opted for two Trojan T-145 batteries. Same physical size as the T-105 but more amp-hours.
wolfe10 Report post Posted October 21, 2012 Tom, Actually, the Trojan T145 has the same FOOTPRINT as the T125, but is TALLER. T105 is 10 7/8" tall. T145 is 11 1/2" tall. If you have the height available and the cost increment is not excessive, the T145 is a good battery to consider. Brett
hermanmullins Report post Posted October 21, 2012 Brett, is that measurement to the top of the post? Herman
RVerOnTheMove Report post Posted October 21, 2012 That does appear to be the correct dimension to the top of the post. There are 2 post configurations, however, with one being 3/16" taller than the other.
tomzleapin Report post Posted October 21, 2012 Brett, You are absolutely correct. It's the T-125 that I have. Good catch. Here's a link to Trojan product literature: http://www.trojanbat...odSpecGuide.pdf I apologize to all you people that rushed out and bought T-145s.
wolfe10 Report post Posted October 21, 2012 Tom, No apologies needed. If they fit, the are a very good choice. Brett
