NikkiM7 Report post Posted February 6, 2013 We have a 2007 Fleetwood Revolution LE that we bought used a year and a half ago. For some reason, the fuel pump for the Onan diesel generator will just randomly run. Generator is not starting (nor should it, coach is plugged in), fuel pump or primer just runs. We can hear it clicking. It stops if we hit the stop switch on the generator, but will be running again when we get home from work at night. We have replaced the start/stop switch on the generator and the problem continues. Any ideas?
desertdeals69 Report post Posted February 6, 2013 Sounds like a problem for an Onan tech.
dickandlois Report post Posted February 6, 2013 Check the 12 volt cables at the Generator. Look at the ground cables at the Generator and the ground connection going to the chassis (frame) ground connection. Also the coach and chassis ground cables at the battery terminals and the ground cables connection at the rear of the coach near or at the battery tray area. You have replaced the switch so the ground(s) is the other point to consider. They are mentioned in the Onan manual as a cause of the pump running when its powered off. Rich. edraff Report post Posted February 6, 2013 I have the same problem on a Fleetwood 2007 Providence. I am taking to Camping World next week for a new camera monitor. Will discuss the generator primer/pump with them. If they can't help will take to Onan tech.
