danorske Report post Posted May 20, 2013 Hi all, Looking for advice about US Hwy 412 from Springdale, Ark. to Hwy 65. Is it a good route for a 40' Motorhome? Or should I stay on Hwy 69 to Interstate 44 to Springfield then down on 65? Thanks for the advice, Ron
0 hermanmullins Report post Posted May 21, 2013 For a nice scenic drive go up 69 to I-40 East to I-540. Take I-540 North out of Alma (just out of Ft. Smith). Go north through Fayetteville and Springdale. Its been a long time since I drove from Springdale to 65 on 412 but I remember it was a good road with a lot of small towns. Enjoy Arkansas and Branson

0 wigginsjsr Report post Posted July 3, 2013 If you haven't already begun your trip I would suggest a different route. From San Antonio we took I-35 to I-30 to Little Rock. From Little Rock we took 65 North to Branson. Hwy 65 thru Arkansas is an easy drive with lots of small towns, but parts of it are really beautiful. If you are interested in a good side trip, consider the Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro. Great RV sites in the park can be reserved online. Interesting digging in the dirt for diamonds. Didn't find any, but great fun.
