bobndorine2 Report post Posted August 14, 2013 If a string breaks on your window blinds, go to http://www.fixmyblinds.com/ They have all the parts such as string, etc., and instructions how to fix them.
billbaldwin Report post Posted August 14, 2013 I have a local guy who can restring in less than an hour. Not worth buying the parts. Most drapery shops can do the same thing for less.

tbutler Report post Posted August 15, 2013 We took one of our day/night pleated shades to a shop to be restrung. The plastic piece on the bottom of the shade was glued together, no way to disassemble it without breaking it so it became trash. I never liked those shades, complained to the manufacturer about them in my first complaint to the company. We went to MCD Innovations to get new roll down day/night shades and love them. Best thing we ever did - but not the way to save money!
five Report post Posted August 17, 2013 I bought the string for $4 and restrung all my blinds. Same here. The hardest part was finding the thread. Finally found it at a cloth shop.
Xplorer Report post Posted August 17, 2013 DW hates the day/nighters, when they break they get replaced with the ole fashion aluminum Bali blinds. 2 More to go.
