DoggyDaddy Report post Posted August 15, 2009 Prior to buying my new RV I used the PC to get the phone number of over 40 insurance companies for Quotes. I maintained a note pad with the quotes of each and FMCA found me the best coverage for the dollar and beat them all including GS.

berginaperzina Report post Posted August 20, 2009 I had purchased insurance for my rv through Good Sam and thought I was doing well with it, then one day when renewall was coming I looked around, go a quote from Progressive and saved an unbelievable amount of money. The coverage is good and the people are friendly!
DoggyDaddy Report post Posted August 20, 2009 Be sure it includes glass insurance and check out the deductible. A one piece windshield costs over $3K to replace.

Joe, When you say that "FMCA found you the best coverage" what do you mean? What did they do for you and how did you request it? Thanks! Valerie
garykd Report post Posted August 29, 2009 Hi Tom & Diane, I have been with Farm & City Insurance Services for several years. 800-331-1520 or their web site at www.rvadvantage.com They are a broker for many companies. While the company I am insured by has changed, Farm & City always seems to provide a competitive rate.
DoggyDaddy Report post Posted August 29, 2009 Joe,When you say that "FMCA found you the best coverage" what do you mean? What did they do for you and how did you request it? Thanks! Valerie FMCA has a motorhome insurance program offered by various RV insurance specialists. I started with a phone call 1-800-543-3622 to FMCA Mbrship Dept. FMCA hooked me up with an insurance specialist and discussed what I wanted in coverage, and they did the research of numerous RV carriers and came back to me with a quote. hube1iam Report post Posted July 21, 2010 Does anyone have experience with Great American Assurance -Explorer RV insurance. I have a quote from them and it is considerably less than Good Sam or Allstate. If so what are they like to deal with when you have a claim? Thanks
rvyeatsy@gmail.com Report post Posted August 5, 2010 We will buy our motorhome in early September. We are researching insurance coverage. Any and all advice is appreciated. Thanks. Tom and Diane Keenan I'd recommend Twin Peaks RV Insurance. 800-507-8467 They've been great for us. Are you thinking about registering the RV in an LLC? You might want to consider it. We have ours in Montana and used Deer Creek to handle all the paperwork for us.
akadeadeye Report post Posted August 5, 2010 I can second the recommendation of Farm and City Insurance. They write for several companies. Our insurance ended up being with Allied. We have had one claim for minor body damage and there was no problem with payment or the adjuster. We were adamant about replacement cost coverage and some companies will not offer this.
