120V Problem

Recommended Posts

2015 allegro 32SA

Started my trip this am and fridge was working fine(residential), after a couple hours down the road the converter inverter stopped powering it. Also quit powering Direct TV box. Reset 12v switch, no help.

Not the first time this has happened. Last trip it started out not working then came on as we went down the road. Seems to have a mind of it own. Help please...

Converter is set to auto, and CB's are not tripped.

No, 14.3 VDC is not a problem. While driving, your alternator should (and sounds like it does) keep the batteries fully charged and should have enough reserve to power the inverter to run your residential refrigerator.

I would start by verifying the the wiring from house battery bank to inverter are clean and tight. Those should be easy to identify, as they will be large gauge cables. Likely a large amp in line fuse between house battery positive and the inverter.

Many inverters also have breakers on them. Would not hurt to cycle OFF and back ON.
