Hi Frank, This is another vote for Pressure Pro. I've been using the system for 3 years. After I got past the bad sensors they sent me the system is functioning as advertised. I would make the same purchase again. You will need to ensure to have metal valve stems installed on all tires that are monitored. I didn't do this and did have a leak in one stem. PP notified me of the leak. I kept the tire inflated until I could get to a GMC dealer. I had them install metal stems. Since then, there have been no problems.

Hi Rich, I use Stanadyne Performance Formula (blue bottle). Go here to read about the product and find a dealer. Stanadyne has several products. I have only 6K miles using the Performance Formula. It has increase my MPG from 7.2 to 8.4 MPG. Once I get this year's travel under my belt, I'll have a better idea of the product's overall performance.

Hi Brat07734. My assumption is this is a gas powered coach (not diesel powered). If this is true, the engine requires two things to run, fuel and a spark. Ask your mechanic to tell you which one isn't your engine getting. If you still have a problem, please reply as to if it is fuel or spark. We can then start from there.

Hi stevens4955, My wife has started to have mobility problems. After a year of searching we purchased a "Cricket" at the Tampa RV show, this past January. Go Cricket Car. The bottom line is it is a 1/2 size golf car type vehicle. The back can be used to carry people or folded down to carry delicious dishes to the pot luck supper. At the Tampa RV Super Show, in January, the standard line Newmar coaches sold about a dozen coaches. The luxury line sold a couple of coaches. I'm not smart enough to figure out why, to me it seems the luxury coaches might be better recession proof than the standard lineup.

Laws are not meant to be fair, they are just meant to be laws. States better realize those they tax are their customers. In the USA citizens (customers) have the right to place our domicile and assets where ever it benefits us. States that tax unfairly (customer's view) will loose their business. The loss will, most likely be forever (along with all the additional trickle down tax revenue generated by these folks visiting the state). Now that more and more people can work remote from their employer's "office building" states must compete for these people to make their domicile in their state. Adding taxes is going the wrong way. When it comes to retirees, the subject gets even more interesting.

Thanks to the March issue of the FMCA mag, I found this forum. After looking the forum over any lack of use is not the layout's fault. This forum may be a "Johnny Come Lately" to the RV forum market. Those that participate have chosen where they feel comfortable doing so. Some forums are strictly run and some allow just about anything. Unfortunately, I think this forum will take a while (years?) to catch on. If I was FMCA I would emphasize the forum to the new (and newest members). This may be where there is little forum preference therefore this forum has a chance to grab a member.

All the Brands work and work well. I use Blue Ox. It works as advertised and I would make the same purchase again. I've given the toad tasks to my 13 year old grandson. He has no problem with the Blue Ox tasks. Nobody needs to worry, I double check his work before we leave. Consider the most important item to be how you interact with the towing hookup. What are the tasks that need to be done to connect and disconnect the toad? Have the tasks demonstrated by the sales person. You do the tasks. Which Brand is best for you depends on how well you like the tasks involved.

Hi All, I am Gary and the wife is Karen (42 years). Our first coach was in 1978. We took our kids around the lower 48 states before they went to college (it takes about 10 years to do this!). We are now taking our grandkids the same route. With the grandkids, we hope to get Alaska in the tour. We belong to a bunch of different RV and discount clubs. I retired in 04 from IBM (38 years). Best decision I ever made. After retiring, within 6 weeks our house was hit by two hurricanes. I'm not retiring from anything again! The stick house is in South Florida. In the Winter we camp with the club chapters we belong to and go no farther North than Ocala, FL. Spring and Fall are semi long trips to places we've been to and want to return. Summer is 2 months with the grand kids making sure we meet our commitment to show them their country. I do all routine maintenance myself. Also, I have a habit of adding gagets to the coach. One never knows when these things will come in handy. The Tampa RV Super Show loves to see me arrive. What we RV in is in the signature. Our primary towed (toad) vehicle is a GMC ENVOY XUV. We carry a Cricket (1/2 size golf cart) inside the ENVOY.

The battery fill caps in the previous post is a good idea. I had this product and it worked as advertised. I would make the same purchase again. If you replace your batteries again, consider the AGM technology of battery. They are sealed and need no water. I did this and am very pleased that I can take adding distilled water to the batteries off my list of maintenance tasks. Contact the manufacturer of your charger and see if they have a module you can plug into the charger to make it a smart charger. This might eliminate the gasing of the liquid in your batteries. There should be no problem with having your coach connected to shore power for long periods of time. Over 11 million RVs come to Florida each winter. They check into a CG and park for months, connected to shore power.

Hi tmoning, 45 feet is the legal maximum length for a single vehicle. The combined length of the coach and towed (toad) car is where the states set different limits. In addition, states also restrict the combined length on some individual roads (e.g. going to the sun road, Glacier NP). In these situations, with or without the restrictions I would not take my coach on these roads. Lastly, some federal and state CGs cannot accomodate large coaches. I understood these things when I purchased the signature coach. For me it was okay. I am pleased with the large coach and choose my CGs and routes accordingly.

This is another vote for USGear. 45K miles of problem free towing. USGear works as advertised and I would make the same purchase again. If you remain unsure, have the salesman demonstrate hooking up and unhooking the system you are considering. Then do the tasks yourself. If you are comfortable with the tasks then that is the system for you.

Hi Vic, Have you ever been RVing in a Class A coach before? If not, consider trying it first (rent a coach) and see what it is like. Are you handy and can do minor repairs (to the coach and automotive) yourself? Will you work, at least part time or not? Are you thinking of touring (a few nights here and there) or staying put for a month or more, before moving on? The questions can go on an on about your preferences. Will you join one of the clubs that allows CG rates to be greatly reduced or eliminated? Boon-docking in the desert (with many other coaches) costs very little, but is this style of RVing right for you. All the choices help determine the cost of the RVing lifestyle. The bottom line consider trying before you buy. Do get started, go do it. Consider not liquidating the stick house and stationary possessions just yet. Rent/borrow a coach. There are many coaches sitting in storage lots (due to the economy). The owner may be willing to let you use the unit for much less than the commerical renting companies. By trying first, you start making lists of coach preferences, costs and things you didn't know you needed. Then you'll be better prepared to make the full time decision.
