  1. Joe. In my humble opinion National Islanders are good coaches. We have two in our small rv club and the owners indicate good luck with them. If it were me I would be concerned that this coach sat for long periods without use. I would not buy this coach unless I also bought a good extended warranty policy from a good company.
  2. We just refinanced our home loan at just over 3%. We got enough from this refi to pay off the loan we got two years ago.
  3. When we bought our Affinity two years ago next month we were lucky enough to get / buy a policy of platinum extended warranty from ExtraRide. They have been an very good company to deal with. I recommend them highly. They are very flexible with who does your work. We got in a very rural area this summer with a blown turbo and using a local diesel repair shop was easy.
  4. We also have a 3 year Platinum Xtra Ride policy. We are very happy with them. No hassles. No problems. We have had many issues in just over a year of ownership of our new to us motor home. Xtra Ride has been more than accommodating. It was not a cheap policy, but apparently we got a good one.
  5. I use the internet with my business and find it takes a multiple option approach if you want to have reliable internet. Mobile internet is very different from stationary. We have a Motosat F1 satellite antenna for internet. This works very well every time you have a clear view of the sat. However, it is not as fast a connection as good wifi or strong connection Verizon Many times we use the park wifi. I do not mind going and sitting in the club house if needed as that becomes a social opportunity. I do not currently have a wifi amp or antenna, but thinking about that. I switched from being a long time Verizon air card user to being a Droid tetherer after it seemed repeatedly that my Droid phone got the internet better than my aircard. Sometimes my air card would not work and I could get internet on my phone. So because of that I cancelled the air card. I first tried easy tether software and had a few issues so not use pdanet. Seems like pda works better. IMHO the Verizon connections have become much worse in Southern California over the last few years. I suspect it is because of adding millions of kids and smartphones who now watch 90210 on their phones.
  6. Side radiator is a far better set up. I know that is a short reply, but that is all that is really needed. Get a side one.
  7. We have an all electric Country Coach and it works well for us dry camping or at a campground. We have 4 8D AGM batteries in very good condition and a 12,500 diesel generator. We find we run the generator about two hours a day when dry camping. Of course this changes completely if you need air conditioning. But when we don't need air conditioning we normally turn the gen on in the morning till the two alternator /chargers go from charge to float. And then if we are going to run a high amps device like cook top, microwave, or vacuum cleaner we turn on the gen. I like the all electric. I did not think I would, but it came with the used coach we bought and I really wanted the coach. Now I think not using propane is a good thing. Way less fire danger for one. Of course you end up with two inverters which can be problematical. I have had to do some service on mine.
  8. We have had very good luck with ExtraRide. There are few exclusions and pretty much all repair shops will take their coverage.
