  1. Complete Senior Magazine is looking for a few FMCA-member couples who live and travel full-time in their mtorohomes, to interview for an article. If you are interested in being contacted, please send an e-mail to webmaster@fmca.com and include your e-mail address and/or phone number.
  2. The RV Driving Safety Program is offered at FMCA conventions, including the Perry, Ga., event this month. The Recreation Vehicle Safety & Education Foundation (RVSEF) presents the course, which is divided into two sessions of three hours each. The program has received rave reviews from FMCA members. Here's an article about the program, from a few years back: The RV Safe Driving Course. Various seminars related to diesel engines also are offered at FMCA conventions.

Family registration is now available for FMCA's Perry, Ga., 2014 Family Reunion and Motorhome Showcase, which will be held March 17 to 20, 2014, at the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricetner in Perry, Ga. We hope you plan to join us at this wonderful venue at the "Crossroads of Georgia" for all of the great seminars, entertainment, exhibits and special activities that are unique to FMCA gatherings.

It's great to hear you're enjoying FMCA -- the benefits and the bonds among motorhome owners that it promotes. This brings to mind a famous line from a famous film, albeit slightly altered here: "We hope this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship."

  10. Kirwan Elmers joined FMCA in 1963 as a charter member. In 1955 he co-founded Custom Coach Corporation with his father, and the company has converted motor coaches for celebrities Lee Greenwood, Johnny Cash, Clint Eastwood, John Madden and many others.   13. Are you going to the Super Bowl? Thousands of football fans and excited tailgaters (both with tickets and without) are heading to New Orleans to watch the Big Game or just soak in the Super Bowl experience. FMCA would like to hear from members who are driving their motorhome to The Big Easy for the game. We are working with reporters from national outlets and your hometown TV stations and newspapers to develop stories about FMCA members taking The Real Road to the Super Bowl. If you are RVing by yourself, with a group of friends, or with a chapter, let us know. You could be sharing your story with local and national reporters, which will add to the thrill of your trip.
