  1. sumrfun45,

    Welcome to the Forum.

This is the time of the year when A/C problems pop up. Long time with out using. I had a  issue with mine not starting and it turned out to be the Start Run Capacitor. If you can remove the A/C cover it will be a Gray Can about the size of a small beer can. When they go out bad they will split open. Top, bottom or even the side. If it is bad and you find it you can tell right away.

    Good luck,

    Herman

  2. Carl, I know what you are saying however a CDL is a National Commercial License, and the CDL requirements are the same nation wide. And you are correct about the Physical, I don't know if it is every year but you do have to have one to renew your CDL.

  3. Not,

    Welcome to the Forum.

There have been several topics and post on slide, slide out then level or level then slides out. The conclusion has been it is best to consult you coach manufacturer. In your case Fleetwood.

I have, in our Monaco, always leveled, put out the slides and then re leveled.

As for the water coming in after a rain and pulling in the slides. Your slide seals most likely need to looked at. They may need to be adjusted or even replaced.

(Ross hit Reply before I did:rolleyes:)

    Again, Welcome,

  4. In the old days when I busted nuts and knuckles for a living when water levels go down the exposed cell dry and when distilled water is added there will be flacking and it will settle in the bottom of the battery. When enough accumulates it will short out the plates. That is when the battery is Sulvaited. If this is the first time the levels have been low, you may hopefully be good.

I would still run the test that Rich mentioned. Hope you are ok.

  5. No matter which tires you are purchasing there are some charges that needs to be added. Mounting, most places $25.00, Balancing again most places $25.00 then there is the government tax - disposal tax - plus local taxes. So you can add $60.00 to $75.00 per tire when purchasing new tires. So no matter which tire you buy, there is always, as they say, "Sticker Shock" when you receive the bill.

  6. Sam, Welcome, I have a 2002 Dynasty. Mine has all ways run around 178 to 185. Does you Dynasty have a Trip Tec? We have one and I can check the actual temp of both the engine and transmission. We did have an issue one time in Colorado in some really long rolling hills. All I did was down shift to increase may RPMs and the over heating stopped.

One thing a Monaco and I am sure most coaches have is a low coolant alarm. Have you checked the coolant levels? If you are not sure of the cleanliness of your radiator it may be time to get out the SUPER Simple Green.

  7. Discount Tire is a very good place to purchase Tires. I use them on both my pick up and my SUV. I can guarantee if you show them the quote from FMCA's program they will match and sometime beat it. What I like about them is that you can get lifetime rotation and balance, plus road hazard protection. There quite a few locations that can serve you close you. As for Large Tires, they unfortunately don't have either the space nor equipment to handle the large tires.

There are many dealers that cater to Large trucks and RVs. Although they are good in a pinch truck stop shops would not be my first choice .

So my recommendation would be to get your quote(in writing) from the FMCA program and shop around. You may find a better deal or not.

    Good luck,

    Herman

  8. Joe,

Welcome to the Forum. I found you filter, "Aurora 436-440-0347"  on their website. It measures 210 mm x 74 mm x 12 mm

or 8.268" x 2.913" x 0.472'. You might try typing on Google  "Aurora 436-440-0347", that is where I found. It also shows places that carry it.

    Hope this helps.

  9. Thomas,

Our chapter, Lone Star, has the election of Officers at our September Rally with the installation at our December Rally. With all that is happening now, we are still planning on having the two Rallies. If for some reason we are forced to cancel the September Rally and election of officers we will most likely have our current officers remain in office and have our election for new officer in September 2021. Good solution, maybe but that is what we think is best.

  10. Carl, crossing into the US for tires may be OK. However since they will have a Canadian address and so forth I wonder if the Michelin, Continental or Hankook programs would work. I have no idea.  Anyone know if those program will work in the US for Canadian Citizen?

Actually that is a Navy term for people in the air wing.

    Bill

You are correct. Having been a Navy Air Dale (Navel Aviation) and not Black Shoe(Ships Company). Names were just flying through my head at that time, my mistake.

    US Air Force "Fly Boys"

Irregardless of their nicknames each and everyone, Active, Retired or Veteran are owed the gratitude and thanks of our nation.
