  1. If it is a 2020 Tahoe it has both a locking steering wheel and electronic steering.

Key needs to be in the accessory position and with a charge line to keep from running down the battery.

May already be doing this but if not, all kinds of bad things can and will happen.

  2. I use the GPS mostly when, in the truck, to find my way our of a neighborhood we have never been in before. (aka Garage Sales for Bobbie).

Off topic a bit. Jeff Foxworthy had a great routine about his wife and Maps. It went something like this.

Giving my wife a map is like giving a monkey a math problem. While she is looking at the map I will ask where is the next turn, and she will say "take the Blue road left up about 1 inch and turn right on the Red road."

  3. sr,

    Need a bit more information.

    Is your A/C not working?

Or are you just looking for an upgrade A/C unit?

Are you looking to change out the unit yourself or have it replaced by some one?

If the later please let us know where you are located.

If it is not working it could be as Ross suggested, the start run Capacitor. They will explode. That is how most go out, with a bang but you can't hear it.

Help us out with some more information and then we can try and help you find a solution.

  4. Which coach do you have? Without the model it's hard to tell if it's  gas or diesel. Do the mentioned items work only when the switch it on? If so you may have the accessory solenoid defective. You can check it to see if, with the ignition on, do you have power to both sides of the solenoid? If not you may need to replace the solenoid. When purchasing the solenoid be sure to get a continuous 12 volt solenoid. Somewhere in my very old gray matter a #55 pops up.

  5. Sorry in your first commit I thought you said "We replaced the fan motor and it still smells like it is burning up". The only thing I would suggest is going back and check for chard wires.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help .

The M&G system is a great unit. And from what I am hearing you have a good bit of mechanical knowledge. That being said may I make one suggestion. Call Monty at M&G (903-675-2812) set up an appointment and let them install your first unit. Monty will be more than willing to have you watch and learn. They will also plumb your airline. After you have observed it once you can do it yourself. I had one installed and have moved it to my forth unit. ( by the way tell Monty you would like a re manufactured unit same warranty and will save you money.

Tell Monty I sent you, it wont save you any money but he may give you a bottle of water:rolleyes:.

  7. With a gas absorption unit it is plugged into two different 110 volt power sources. One is from the inverter to power the refrigerator. The second one is from shore or generator power for the ice maker (so it will not operate when in motion.) If the residential refrigerator it should be plugged into the 110 volt inverter plug. that will provide power all the time whether moving or connected to shore power or on generator. With all that being said, that is how mine works (residential for over 5 years).

In our 2002 Monaco Dynasty, when the engine is running it charges both the chassis and the house batteries.
