  1. Mike,

    Welcome to the Forum.

Congratulations on the new tow vehicle. There are several good manufacturers of tow bars on the market. My self, I prefer the Blue Ox and M&G braking system. I have no experience with the NSA components. Here is the information from FMCA Towing Guide for the 2019 GMC

¹ Use of a shield mounted in front of the vehicle grille could restrict airflow and cause damage to the transmission. ² Before flat towing, be sure the transmission fluid is at the proper level. The vehicle should be run at the beginning of each day and at each RV fuel stop for about five minutes. ³ Only vehicles that have a two-speed transfer case with a Neutral and a four-wheel-drive low setting can be towed four wheels down. Disconnect the negative battery cable and secure the nut and bolt. Cover the negative battery post with nonconductive material to prevent contact with the negative battery terminal. ⁴ Once the destination has been reached, start the engine and let it idle for more than three minutes before driving the vehicle

    Good Luck and happy travels

  2. My log is my Capitol One and Sam's Master card bills. All camp site go on Capitol One and all fuel on MC. Then just wait for the bills. Wow good or Wow bad, but it doesn't change anything. We still go and enjoy every minute of it.

Ready to roll now but Bobbie is recuperating for knee replacement. End of first week and she is doing great.

Sorry, but anytime you are one of the monitors edits a post it will show "Edited X hours or minutes ago by xxxxxx.

I for one do not edit someones post for spelling. I consider it a challenge to see if I can decipher what the word or meaning was meant be.

  4. Doug and Sharon,

    Welcome to the Forum.

Do you know if your Norcold has had both of the recalls preformed. I so you will a small black box approx 2" X 2" square in the service area. If the red Light is on you need to reset it. You can do this by running a strong magnetic over the little black box. You may have to do this several times.

However if you see Yellow Dust all over the coils then you Norcold is cooked.

Sorry for you troubles, but don't be a stranger.

  5. TX,

Can't help on the grade on Hwy 26 but have been on Hwy 191 South from Jackson to Rock Spring. it is a good road and the grades are not bad. I-80 across Wyoming is a good road. We were in Cheyenne last month and the one thing I can tell you is that there is a lot of road work on I-80. The work didn't cause any major delays. (we turned south at York).

    Go and enjoy.

  6. renglish,

As Carl said all charcoal filter need to be flushed before using. Most all the filter I have seen say to run 3 to 5 gallons of water through them when first installed. I have an old filter housing that I hook up my potable hose to and run 3 to 5 gallons of water through it. Then I will put the flushed out filter in my system.

I have a filter like the Clear2O Rv & Marine inline Water Filter CRV2006. When I want to filter water from the potable water hose, I will do the same by running water through to filter till it is clear. That is a must on any and all charcoal filters.

Good luck and let us hear from you again.

  8. Rick,

Most stations limit the $ amount of allowed per fill up. Your credit card may have a set limit also. Other than Love's or Pilot/Flying J there is only one that I am familiar with that  let you fill up completely and it is QT (aka Quick Trip). At QT you can get a card at the fuel counter called "Pump Start". It allows you to completely fill your vehicle but then you must go into the counter and pay with cash, debit card or your credit card. QT is an Oklahoma based company but they have moved into North Texas. There are three in our area of north Texas.

  9. I plan on trying the new (to me) Ceramic Coating. I have looked at several YouTube videos and am a bit confused on how to apply it. One says to wash and dry the vehicle then spray it on and rinse with water and walla it there. Another says to wash the vehicle, then wipe the entire vehicle with denatured alcohol, then apply Ceramic coating then rinse it off. Not sure which method I will use, but what I am thinking is that I will do the front of the coach first, then drive it for a day then see how easy the bugs come off. That would be the test for me.

I have also used Lucas Slick Mist and it does a nice job.
