  1. OK, after your last reply, Brett, I couldn’t wait. I went outside with a flashlight and located the pump. It was up front in the compartment with the generator. The electric connection to the pump had come loose. I plugged it back in and everything works great. At least I don't have to test the fuse. Thanks again!
  2. Your right. Still looking for the vacuum pump. To dark now to continue. No fuse box under the dash. The system is vacuum, as there are vacuum lines under dash. Appears there is no power to the pump (wherever it is). Fuse for vacuum pump (In outside fuse box) looks OK. Need to test it tomorrow. I can manually push the lever and change airflow.
  3. Thanks. It is a diesel. I was looking for a fuse in the outside fuse compartment. I'll look under the dash. I was cold driving it through Nebraska two days ago. All the air was on the defrost and nothing on my feet, I stopped at rest stops twice to fire up the coach furnace to warm up. Coach got down to 45 degrees inside. Now I am home now and have time to work on it to track it down. I'll post when I find the problem. Sounds like I should start looking under the dash.
  4. I couldn't switch my engine heater to the floor setting (2007 Damon Tuscany). It is stuck on the defrost setting. No air going to the floor. Does anyone know if this switch is fused? Or is my switch in the dash bad? Can't find it in my owners manual.
  5. Thanks. I'll try a new thermistor. Looks like I fall into the second recall as well.
  6. We have a Norcold 1210 Fridge in our 2007 Damon Tuscany. The freezer will not stay cold enough and the fridge compartment freezes things. After talking to tech at a local RV dealer, I have tried lowering the sensor from the top of the cooling fins until it is now all the way on the bottom. (A bit at a time and changing cold settings. At different times based on temperature I have had the cold setting on all settings between 5 and 9) This seemed to solve the freezer problem but not the freezing in the fridge compartment. Each time I moved it, the temp would be OK for a few days and then within days the temp would vary again working lower until the fridge compartment would freeze. Then I was told to try defrosting the unit and letting the coolant settle and start over. This seemed to work for about two weeks and now we are back to the freezer not being cold enough to keep Ice Cream frozen. The sensor is all the way down. I can’t move it lower. I am currently on #7. If I go to 8 or 9 the fridge freezes. Any Ideas? It seems to me this will take days or even weeks for a dealer to diagnose. We are living in the unit. Leaving it with a dealer causes a problem. Reading the forum, I see many problems with this model fridge not cooling. Mine cools, but is all over the place. Help!!
  7. We bought this unit when it came out. Took a 2500 mile trip through 7 western states. Great product. Only complaint was ours did not have a audio warning for an upcoming low bridge, only a visual warning sign. I was on winding coastal roads and didn't see it right away. I had listed enough clearance and we were fine. Worth the price we paid.
  8. I have a 40 ft 2007 Damon Tuscany with the C7 350 Cat. I think I have enough power on hills, but wondered if one of the new chips may help fuel economy? I drive between 60 and 65MPH and average about 7 MPG. I don't want to risk damage to my rig. This summer we pulled Highway 20 in Washington State pulling a Toyota Avalon on a dolly. The temperature gauge hardly moved. Saw several cars stopped boiled over on that grade. Has anyone tried this with a 350 Cat?

  10. We have a 2007 Damon Tuscany that does not have a power reel on the 50 Amp cord. What a pain to wrap the cord up each time. Websites selling power reels seem to give simple directions for installing these on your own. Any tips or advice on kind to buy or mistakes to avoid?
