  1. I checked all the terminals and connections I could find related to the inverter/charger. Some needed to be tightened just a bit but nothing considered loose. I spoke with Allied Tech Support and they got me up and running. The tech had me do a few checks on the relay switches etc, but then had me find a reset button buried under the relay switches amongst the control panel. One push and all was back to normal. The reasons for this occurring seem endless, so can't say why this occurred. Again thank you Rich and Brett for your advice.
  2. Thanks Rich. I did reset both breakers located on the inverter. I will now check for loose connections and bad fuses in the BCC. The connections on the transfer relay terminals - are they located behind the main breaker box? And would you know if the transfer switch is in the same place? I assure you I will disconnect from any power before checking.
  3. I have a 1999 American Eagle. While returning from vacation yesterday, I had the generator running and one air conditioner running. I realized it was getting warmer inside the mh and my wife checked the air conditioner. This had stopped working, the refrigerator reverted back to gas and all outlets ceased to work. The generator was running fine still. I shut off generator and upon arriving home started it back up and no electricity was provided for the coach. I switched on the inverter/charger and nothing there either. I then plugged into shore power and everything worked. Now while plugged to shore power the remote panel showed DC volts and DC amps. The remote panel would not show anything on generator and only DC volts on inverter setting but still no power. Is there a way a non mechanic (myself) can check some obvious possible solutions? I have reset the circuit breaker on the generator and the inverter/charger per their manuals. None of them seemed to have needed it. I also recycled the switch(s) per the manuals. Generator - Onan 7.5 kw - model HDJAK Inverter/charger - Heart Interface Source Manager 20 with ITS (intelligent transfer switching). The mh and generator are serviced annually. All worked fine for trip out and most of the trip home. I have owned this mh for almost 8 years with no problem. The generator is exercised regularly when used infrequently. I am scheduled for the shop next week.
  4. Another good site is www.superbrightleds.com . They have conversion charts and any problems just call them.
  5. Bill - might be worth a check for Allstate Motor Club. You do not have to carry Allstate Insurance and its $100 annually. You also get a free annual KOA membership. They cover any vehicle you are with -i.e. it doesn't have to be your own personal vehicle. I have used them once for a car and 2x for my MH. First MH experience, my coach would not "air up". A large tow truck arrived and the driver was a mechanic also. He gave me a temporary fix - (bypassed the controller) and got me under way. Last August we went on a month long trip to Glacier NP from NY and when returning, we were 15 miles from home when a component on the fuel injector system vibrated loose and broke. We were on a toll road and they sent a tow truck that towed me right to my service garage. Bottom line is - for me -they never questioned any bill - they just issued a check. My experience has been all positive with them.
  6. You basically have 3 choices from Tupper. Go north to border and cross to VT - take one of 3 ferries across Lake Champlain - go to Lake George and into Rutland Vt. 1. I have not crossed into VT from the northern edge by the border so not much to advise here. 2. The ferries will take motorhomes but check the Lake Champlain ferries website for times and cost. Grand Isle Ferry is from Plattsburgh and the other two land at Burlington - either way Rt. 89 would be your best driving route. 3. Going down to Lake George would be a pleasurable experience and take Rt 149 to Rutland then through (Rt 4) Quechee Gorge / White River Jct to Rt 93. Do not use Rt 9N in Lake George as it is not motorhome friendly around the Lake. And do not use Rt 7 from Rutland - very narrow and few shoulders. You should include the Kancamangus Highway - (by toad) - Rt 112 into Conway NH. Hope this helps - you are driving and visiting some of the Northeast most beautiful area's.
  7. Once you determine the cause of so many LED failures try - www.superbrightleds.com - easy to cross reference any bulb.
  8. A few years ago if you emailed or called the parent company they would send you a free sample pack (about 4 oz) of their best selling protection products. I have never used 303 on tires but have used it on many other applications with very satisfying results. They do not advertise this but an email to them under the "contact us" from the website might do the trick.
  9. Brett - I watched the Cummins engine maintenance and Cummins Onan generator seminars. Since I am not a mechanic, I was trying to sponge up as much info as possible. Knowing that keeping with a schedule is important, the generator seminar ran out of time and a couple of PM items were omitted. No complaints though, good info, knowledgeable panel. Are the webcast archived anywhere?
  10. I did not attend the Perry rally, but would like to mention how impressed I was with the webcast. As a fairly new forum reader, the seminar webcasts were just like attending. An awesome benefit for members.
  11. We all seem to have very good or very bad experiences with our chosen roadside assistance vendor. I am surprised to read that Allstate is not covering you. I have a 40ft American Eagle DP and the air dump valve went bad while on the road. I called Allstate and within 1 hour a very large tow truck showed up. The driver was also a mechanic and he worked for 2 hours on the coach until he was able to get me on my way and I was able have the repair done at the end of my trip. Never saw a bill or invoice from Allstate. I have had them 4 years now.
