  1. I-65 through Indiana has to be the worst! I travel to Northern Illinois frequently but have traveled out-of-my way to avoid Indiana. Guess they don't need the revenue from tourist/travelers.

    Tire Monitor

Admittedly, I am new to owning a motor coach and confused about the necessity of tire pressure monitors-- seems the monitor reports needed information after-the-fact? I check the pressure on my tires and visually inspect them regularly. What I would find most valuable is a device that can alert me before a flat/blow-out, not after.

    MICE!

Two words: moth balls. Keeps ants out, flies, mosquitoes, lizards, spiders, and most certainly mice. Place them in your cargo bays and the water bay where they most likely enter. Buy them in a net bag and place them in the roadside electric bay and even in the generator slide. The coach might smell like an old-person [LOL] but no more unwanted annoying critters.
  4. We purchased our 1st coach in 2012, a 2008 Monaco Dynasty. Since we were brand new to this lifestyle and took a leap of faith that we could handle a 45 foot coach we chose to buy the EW. Over the past 2 years we have used our EW more times than I can count without pulling all the invoices. The first thing that went bad was #5 fuel injector, then the fuel lift pump, then the main fuel pump, the driver side slide gasket tore, the door bell and remote entry switch went bad, and I could go on. Point being we have not been disappointed, as every claim we presented to Cornerstone Warranty was paid and handled without incident. With so many moving parts in the chassis and the house I cannot imagine going it without an EW. However, I would not listen to a sales person as they know how to sell, not adjust warranty coverage; get the contract and read it carefully as within the 4 corners of the warranty document is what is covered and there are no surprises when you take the time to understand what you are paying for.
  5. The next time you visit a coach dealership take the time to observe the tag tires. Look at the sidewall near the bottom of the treads. On coaches where the driver failed to raise the tags you will find slight separation. Recently, I noticed this separation on the tag tires of a 2010 King Aire; the tires looked great overall except for this one area where the sidewall was separating at the bottom of the tread--it does make a difference when the tag is not raised on slow, very sharp maneuvers. I only wish I was more consistent in raising my tags--and on most coaches the tag automatically lowers when the coach reaches 2nd gear.
  6. This matter should be turned over to the State's Attorney Office. This way an investigation will commence -- if it is a scam -- they will be handled accordingly.
