    Enjoying this beautiful country and I have seen a lot of it. I was raised in a career military family. My Dad was a veteran of WWII , Korea and Vietnam. He retired in 1965 as a Lt. Col. always a pilot for his entire career. We were vagabonds. Always on the move. I especially love mountains. Colorado is my favorite.

    I do fish but I have done it so seldom recently that I am not very good at it. Kind of like golf/ to be good - regularly is the word.

    Obed is Old Testament . Son of Ruth and Boaz. King David's Grandfather. I am Obed ByronOglesby III. It is a family thing.

About Me

Retired long distance trucker, veteran of the US Army, married to a wonderful lady named Betty for 48 years.. She is a retired RN who worked 43 years and 3 months at the same hospital. Took the short time required to finish my BS after the military, and graduated with honors. So what! You can't take the trucker out of those that love it, and I am one. A few months after my graduation , I rejoined the industry and seldom looked back.

In my mountain driving with our Motorhome I follow a procedure that works for me. If it is a hard surface road that 18 wheelers use, even in small numbers, I can drive that route in our 40ft Phaeton towing our Subaru. I do have a LOT of experience in mountains with 18 wheelers. I am attracted to mountains in a way that I really can't put into words. Yes folks, I took the picture accompanying my profile. A lucky morning in October at 9:44 MDT. Camera is set for East Coast. Gorgeous isn't it?
