  1. In Surprise, AZ just northwest of Phoenix is Happy Trails Resort. We just sold the lot we have owned since 2003. There are 2001 lots there. Depending on what you are wanting when we sold ours February 17th there were 59 lots for sale. 3 had super wide homes, 7 villas and the others were park models or RV lots. RV lots depending on location in the resort were selling for $60,000 to $70,000.

Address is 17200 W Bell Rd, Surprise, AZ 85374.   It is a gated senior HOA property. Depending on your interest, there are 70 clubs. Quilting, woodworking, ceramics, pickle ball etc.

  2. We don’t know what size tires are on your RV, but I would question the total inflation capacity. For our 22.5”  tires on our motor home that are inflated to 107-110 pounds, I use a Porter Cable 150# pancake style air compressor. I like it so well when my 60 gallon shop air compressor failed, I replaced it with another Porter Cable just like the one in my motor home.

I have a similar jump start/air compressor to the one you listed. It works well to jumpstart an auto, but not a motor home. Will top off golf cart tires and auto tires, again not the motor home.

You don't need to take a gas coach out for exercise, just a DP needs that.

Actually, it is just the reverse. Gas monthly. If you cannot drive a DP for at least 25 miles, just let it sit. During the summer we go to a rally monthly, but in the winter it sits for 5 to 6 months. Caterpillar and Cummins state that you do not need to exercise monthly, but Onan generators do need to be exercised monthly to keep the windings dry.

  4. The only discounts that I know about are for the FMCA Partners. There are some campgrounds, tires, lithium batteries, PassPort America, etc. You can look at all of them online at FMCA.com. Open Member Benefits to review. I have checked into campgrounds that offer Good Sam discount. I ask if they do the same for FMCA. I have always gotten the discount.

  5. I just renewed my FMCA Roadside Assistance for another year. Many different companies provide similar plans, but some of those really don’t understand RV’ers.

Just remember when you call and don’t get the response you expect or the person talking to doesn’t seem to know what you really need, hang up and call again. Probably, you will get a different person. There are 2,000 different people answering calls like yours. Many are operating from home and don’t have the speedy resources to handle your issue.

Also, download the complete FMCA Roadside Assistance contract/policy so that you can read exactly what is covered and what is not.

  6. Per your suggestion I went and looked at the acronym list in General Discussion and didn’t find HP 4X; so, my thought that we need to spell out terms is still valid. And so what is PC? Or post Turtle? And what does any of this have to do with being political?

Maybe a change in attitude would stimulate other opinions vs stifling posters.

  7. We don’t need a dictionary to go to to look up terms that members use. Just use the full words. I wish that there was a spelling checker to use before posting.  The popup window does help. I can remember numbers, but don’t expect me to spell correctly.
