All, I purchased a RV with ~10+yr old electronics and entertainment systems and am now planning an upgrade to the system. My initial thinking is there are 3 critical and core elements, Internet mobile access, Internet/digital streaming TV and the switching system. The current installation allows the possibility to upgrade the internet mobile access and front lounge TV, utilizing the current amplifier/switching to continue using the speaker system and CD player. (I am old enough to have CDs to put in this player.) The plan and upgrade steps look like, eliminate the plasma TV and replace with a current internet-enabled, digital streaming capable TV, ~$350. Eliminate the satellite hook-up, now inactive, and replace with an Inseego MiFi 2100 5G capable mobile hotspot. Since I'm already a Verizon customer, it will be easier/simpler to add this device and service to my existing account. And even though 5G service is currently limited, this device will default to 4G, and capture 5G whenever/wherever available. Also, the Inseego will allow any mobile phone/tablet to connect to it providing internet access to any/all devices coming onto the RV. The TV is just another device "paired" to the hotspot, wired or wireless. ~$60/month for service and ~$400 device cost. Utilize the existing amplifier and switching device to bring the audio signal into the existing Bose speaker system and continuing use of the CD player. For folks having done some/all of this type of upgrade before, do I have this about correct? Am I missing major items/issues, and if so what? Any suggestions/recommendations, possible problems, etc. are greatly appreciated. And I'm able to write this all up, step-by-step, if folks believe others can reuse/apply the template. Our 2017 Fleetwood Bounder came with Sansui TVs that are poor quality. We wanted to replace the one in the living room with a Sony but discovered that it didn't fit in the existing wood frame. Without some wood-working modification we didn't see an option for the switch. Has anyone else run into this? If so, did you figure out a way to switch to a better TV?

We have a 2017 Palazzo Motor Coach that we bought in November 2016. Great coach - love to drive it! Here's my situation. We have three TV's...two inside and one outside. I have a Monoprice Switch box to go between my DVD player and the TV's. I have a small Directv box (that only gets me a signal, no DVR capabilities), a small Sony DVD player and the Monoprice Switch box. All connections to my devices are by HDMI cables, three tv's (three HDMI cables) connect to the switch box, my Sony DVD (one HDMI cable). The location for these devices are in a small shelf with a door. All three devices fit in this area, but fit very tightly. This is an RV. I get in it and I drive it places. It vibrates and bounces down the highway pretty good. Almost every time I get to my destination, my TV doesn't work because the HDMI cables have vibrated loose from the switch box. I can not begin to tell you how frustrating this is. I can't see in there to make sure I'm getting the cables in the right location. It's just a mess. I've seen connectors with latches on them for electronics, but I've never seen anything remotely like this for my situation. I have to believe that I am not the only one experiencing this. I have a 2014 Itasca Meridian with a factory installed HDMI 4x4 Matrix TV system. It is connected to a Winegard Trav'lr dish. The factory installed system either sucks or is not wired correctly. Have replaced the main unit (HDMI 4x4Matrix) once. Independent installer suggested switching to the Directv Genie system. Have any of you done this?

2003 Fleetwood Bounder, 32W, Gas, Front TV Upgrade. I'm about to upgrade our front TV in the overhead from the old 10,000 pound anchor tube Panasonic to a nice 32" Sharp LED Flatscreen. I am hoping to be able to watch the new TV off of our batteries when we are NOT plugged into 110/120 and without the Generator running. The new 32 inch LED Sharp TV draws 65W. My Questions Are: 1. Is it feasible that I can run the new TV direct from my Coach Batteries. (2 new 6 volt Golf Cart type batteries). 2. Any technical tips on where to draw the power from and how? (The TV area only has the 110 recepticles there for plugin now). - Our recepticles only work on 110 when the Coach is plugged in, or from the genny when its on. (we are trying to avoid this when boondocking). - Up front there are 3 x 12V cig lighters (2 in dash & one under dash) but they appear to only come off the chassis battery? I am wondering if in theory this will work? (Running on the coach batteries). If it would work, and special tips on how to wire in the power? I think I would run a power line direct from the battery bank to a 12V cig style plug-in and plug in a car type Inverter by plugging it into that socket. Th TV would then plug into the Inverter. Am I on the right track? Any advice? Any help sure is appreciated! Jim

Every now and then the front fold down TV will not come down, when it is working correctly you hear a loud click when the relay powers the motor. When it does not work you only hear a faint click and no motor movement. Five minutes later it will work fine, it has only not worked a couple of time. Part time electrical problem are a pain. Also does any Monoco owners out there know how to get the TV panel to drop down if the motor will not run? Has a manual crank but you cannot get at it with the panel in the up position. I have also asked Monoco this same question, I would bet I will get the answer here before they reply.

I have a 2007 National Sea Breeze with the optional bedroom TV. The TV has gone out. Can someone kindly explain how to remove the TV. I found and removed the screw on the left side, but I don't see any way to access the one on the right. Thanks.

Hello everyone! We are Tim and Alisa Sheets. We live in Nevada and are in our late 40's/early 50's with grown children and 12 grandbabies & one on the way . We've recently bought a 1987 Bounder and will begin full-timing at the end of April. It's both exciting and scary . We're going to Washington to do a gate attendant job for 5 months up by Spirit Lake. We're looking forward to it; it sounds really pretty there but I'm kind of worried about not having any electricity. We are walking away from our home & selling practically everything we own. Deciding what to put in the motor home is pretty daunting. I don't even know where to start. We don't want to have to rent a storage shed for anything. Any tips for downsizing? Also, I'm used to having a well stocked refrigerator. How do y'all shop and store food with those small fridges? I know that people are able to have TV and internet when they are RVing.... how do you do that? Sorry, lot's of questions. I'll be browsing this site to see if I can find answers. Any hints/tips/advice will be greatly appreciated. ~Alisa

I recently purchased a used motorhome that was converted by an out of business company. The front TV is a motorized lift that pivots at the top. Pushing the rocker switch to lower/raise the TV results in whirring noises and no motion. I was told I need to release the latch to lower the TV. Any ideas on where the latch is? After I get the TV to raise and lower, the AMX controller needs to be programmed. Does anybody know how or where to take it to be programed.
