rstoro Report post Posted December 1, 2018 Just purchased a new (upgraded) motorhome that is equipped with the combo washer dryer. Was wondering what detergent you all use? They recommend buying their brand (splendide) was wondering if that is necessary? R & S 2018 Fleetwood Bounder 2012 Honda CRV toad
rossboyer Report post Posted December 1, 2018 We use Tide, but be careful to use much less than you would use in a top loader.
richard5933 Report post Posted December 1, 2018 If it's front loading, then most any detergent with the HE symbol on the front should be fine. The HE symbol is for 'high efficiency' and will clean your clothes but produces far fewer (if any) suds. Doesn't look like it's doing anything if you are used to seeing lots of suds, but it is. Like Ross & Melanie said, you'll use far less in a front loader than you're used to if you're coming from a top loader.
five Report post Posted December 2, 2018 Good advice from earlier posters....use HE, and much less than you would in the stick house. We have had three Splendides, all worked flawlessly.
manholt Report post Posted December 2, 2018 Mine is a Splendid Stack ans we use Tide, 1 Tsp. for 11 pounds. When drying, we never use Bounce, it has wax in it and will clog the screen.
wayne77590 Report post Posted December 2, 2018 Also, use the liquid form and not the powder. (Stated in the manual, I think) Tide is good but just about any liquid HE detergent will work.
