Eagle Report post Posted April 17, 2010 I was wondering if anyone has used the Elks or Moose lodges for stop overs? Especially Alabama, Florida and Mississippi.
3507phaeton Report post Posted April 17, 2010 We have stayed at the Elks and enjoyed our stays, but only on the west coast. I don't know about the Moose, but the Elks put out three books listing all their lodges with directions and what they offer.
hfteale Report post Posted April 18, 2010 We have stayed at a few Elks lodges but not in those states. You must be a member and most ask for a small donation. Check the Elks website for the lodges in the area you are going and see what type of facilities they have. Some don't have room for a motorhome or 5th wheel and most don't have hook-ups so it's dry camping.
mygusto Report post Posted June 15, 2010 We use Elks Lodges as a first choice while traveling. We meet the best people and all lodges are very friendly. Also a very good place to get local information. Go ahead and join one of the lodges, the membership dues are well worth it. Good luck in your travels, and be safe.
