savarpach Report post Posted August 19, 2020 Greetings! We have a 2018, Pace Arrow 35 M. The walls are covered with a shiny covering. The instructions that came with the RV specifically say DO NOT drill holes or screw into walls. I think blind penetrations is bad idea with wiring and plumbing everywhere. Nothing sticks to the walls. I have tried 3M, Museum putty, nano tape, gaffers tape, every type of adhesive I have ever seen recommend. They all fall off after a couple of hours. Any secerets not on internet?
wildebill308 Report post Posted August 19, 2020 Well that must make them easy to clean. Welcome to the forum, someone will have an idea. I wonder what is behind the wall that they are worried about drilling/nailing into? Bill

wayne77590 Report post Posted August 19, 2020 (edited) The Blue Sticky Tack doesn't work? It is a putty like substance and you tear off as much as you need, fold it like dough, stick it to the object and stick it to the wall. I have used that stuff on some pretty shiny surfaces. Just make sure the surface is clean of debris and oils - use alcohol. Loctite Fun Tac is another name. It can also be used to hold down items on counters for when you are moving down the highway. savarpach Report post Posted August 20, 2020 Interior wall. Washed surfaces completely. 3M adhesive remover removes finish entirely. Common wall covering. Plastic dots for bump protect don't stick. Tried everything for 2 years. I can make my own composite materials and polyurethane foams.

Help me out hear, You can't get anything to stick or you can't get anything to stick that you can remove without leaving a mark? Bill
rayin Report post Posted August 21, 2020 (edited) A new high-tech pipe and wiring finder (stud-finder was old nomenclature) should locate anything behind the wall covering. I do have to be very careful on walls that contain a pocket door, but with careful planning I have installed 1/8" hollow-wall anchors. After installation, I cut the bolt to the shortest usable length possible to clear the pocket door. Edited August 21, 2020 by RayIN
