How to Enter Take a picture of your motorhome in a scenic setting. Follow these steps to upload your picture to this current thread/topic: 1. Click the Add reply button, above, right. 2. Browse to the image on your computer and then click UPLOAD. (The Browse and UPLOAD buttons are below the square text box.) In the text area, be sure to provide information about your photo(s): your motorhome type, the setting/location and any other pertinent details you care to share. 3. Scroll down and click Add Reply. You should see your photo/entry below, in this thread. To minimize download times, please try to keep your uploaded image(s) under 1MB in file size. The winner, prize FMCA staff will select the best photo befitting the category: scenic. The motorhomer who sends in the best scenic photo will win a set of four 16-ounce Tervis Tumblers. Rules and conditions 1. Entries must be uploaded between July 31 and Sept. 1, 2009. 2. Limit of three entries per month (one photo constitutes one entry). 3. gandr2737 Report post Posted August 4, 2009 I took this photo of our Monaco Windsor and Pontiac Trans Am toad when we stopped to take a break at the top of the Red Mountain Pass (elevation 11,801) in the San Juan National Forest. We were en route from Blue Mesa, Colorado to Mancos, Colorado. The picture was taken in September of 2008. We are full-timers, and we usually visit Colorado at least once a year, as our daughter, son-in-law, and grandson live near Denver. gandr2737 Report post Posted August 4, 2009 Looking at this beauty and solitude, it's hard to believe that our Monaco Windsor is parked approximately a half mile off of the Interstate in Longmont, Colorado! This is our favorite site at St. Vrain State Park (formerly called Barbour Ponds). We stay here when we are visiting our daughter, son-in-law, and grandson. cueltzen@peoplepc.com Report post Posted August 6, 2009 This was taken the year before in Elk Meadows RV park. It's on forest road 88 about 5 miles North of Trout Lake Washington. The view out the windshield is Mt. Adams, which is only about 8 miles away. This is one of our favorite places to camp. blahickey Report post Posted August 7, 2009 Our National RV Tropi-Cal is pictured at our campsite in Goblin Valley State Park, near Hanksville, Utah. The park contains thousands of mushroom-shaped pinnacles or hoodoos a few feet high that someone obviously thought resembled goblins. Several Hollywood movies were filmed here, i.e. City Slickers, City Slickers ll and Galaxy Quest. From our campsite we could see several buttes and mesas in the far distance. jimjunkin Report post Posted August 8, 2009 September 2008; Autumn Leaves in Algonquin Provincial Park Ontario Canada. Our '03 Coachman is parked on the side of Highway 60 beside Brewer Lake about 50 kilometers east of the town of Hunstville in the district of Muskoka. The autumn colors in Algonquin Park are awesome and well worth the three hour drive from our home near Toronto. The trees are a symphony of red, orange and tellow..there are scores of beautiful, serene lakes; a slight chill is in the air and if you're really fortunate a curious moose or white tailed deer may present itself in a clearing. A good idea to keep a camera close at hand. Perfect weather for a little picnic in the very coach-friendly park setting. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
jimjunkin Report post Posted August 8, 2009 July 2009: Our 03 Coachmen and our dog Angel (Who always travels with us and has her own special bed right up front between the driver's seat and the passenger's chair) at a very pretty country property and family cottage for lease site in Prince Edward Island, our smallest province in Atlantic Canada. PEI is small but picturesque and beautiful. One is never far from the ocean and getting there is a blast as you either arrive by ferry or do as we did..cross the "Confederation Bridge" a 10 kilometer over the sea highway similar to the Florida keys. It runs from New Brunswick to the seaside town of Borden-Carleton PEI. Second photo taken days later from the front window of the coach southbound on I-495 in Maine of dual rainbows which emerged after a rainstorm just as the sun was peeking through again. blahickey Report post Posted August 14, 2009 Monument Valley in Utah was the site of many Hollywood westerns. John Wayne starred in many of these movies. We tucked our 2000 National Tropi-Cal into its assigned site at Gouldings Campground and settled in for the night and a spectacular starry sky before touring the valley the next day. Took this shot of our 2005 National TropiCal 37 ft motor home while I was exercising our dogs who went along with us. Absolutely breathtaking scenery through Utah and Colorado !
