I was going to add a comment to this months ago. Nickolas' life ended just the way he hoped it would.

I welcome a fellow FMCA blogger. I look forward to your next entry!

Merry Christmas Brother, Diane and Teddy It is a Wonderful Life. We are in Menifee, CA and heading to Yuma, AZ in the next two weeks. Have plans to move east in the spring. We always enjoy the blog. Have a Happy New Year. Gary & JanisYou have a wonderful new year also!. We really look forward to seeing you again. Hopefully we can meet at Deer Creek, play some golf and have some char-grilled steaks and a couple of cold ones.

Thanks Tom,
Merry Christmas! I hope you and Louise experience a lot of good miles this new year.

A note from me: I emailed Nancy and Wayne and provided them with all the info they needed.
It has been a year and a half now and my slideouts are still working great. The guys from BAL and ESC really did a nice job.

Someone asked me what rule number one is. You can click on archive and find it and all my earlier blog entries.
But if you are in a hurry to learn the answer you can read it here:

Thanks Bro, hope you and Janis are doing well out west.

First off ChefGarry I want to welcome you to the FMCA Family and to the blogs. I hope you will be a member of both for a long, long, time. Now about your slides. I suspect that the malfunction is related to your electrical problem. The battteries may have been too low to move them. Once they charged up a bit the slides started to work. I don't know if you replaced the house batteries or not. If not I would get them load tested. All the things that happened to you, with the exception of the Great October Snow Storm are pretty typical. They have happened to most of us and for most of us those kind of troubles have happended more than once. Don't let the mishaps curb your enthusiasm for the Coach lifestyle. It is a wonderful thing to be part of.
Once again a great big welcome and you will not be a newbie for long!

Thanks you two. I am looking forward to hitting the road for long periods of time one day.
-
It sure feels good to get back out there doesn't it? I look forward to the time I am out there full time. That is what we hope to do...one day.

I found out the buggy way that Murphy's Oil Soap and works great. That and a long handled brush.

40 years may not feel like a long time....but my kids keep telling me that it is. Diane and I took our vows 38 years ago, but we have been a couple for 40. We started being one in High School.
-
Frank, your entry got bit by the old forums 2010 bug.....not as bad as the y2k bug but still a nuisance.
I hope things are going well for you.

The thought of hotels and driving long distances in the car does not appeal to me at all. Neither does trips in airplanes or walks through airport security. I will make an exception for a trip to Greece but nothing else.
We miss your blogging....do you have a new one for us? Hope so cause I look forward to it.
-
We will. I wish we could extend our trip for a week longer then we would be down there at the same time!
( I might figure out a way to do just that)
-
It should be soon, we look forward to it too.

The four of us who blog here the most write about:
A couple beginning their full time life.
A couple who have been on the road for a lot of time.
A couple ending the full time life on the road.
A couple who wish to be somewhere in between hoping to spend extensive time on the road.
Between all of us we have some interesting stories about the motorhoming life written from different "angles".
That is a good thing don't you think?
Gramps.

I look forward to hearing more about your travels and seeing some pics of your kids on the road too.

The ending of Toy Story 3 was really hard for Diane to watch....it is so hard to say goodbye and move on with one's life, but not impossible.

This was a premonition.....

Thanks Todd. Just to update eveyone, Nickolas's medication, which is a minor dose of PPA, seems to be working. He still drinks a lot of water but he is holding it. He still can't make it through the night but he lets us know he wants to go out. That's okay, I can't sleep through the whole night anyway.

We are back in our stick house in Portsmouth. Nickolas is doing very well, and who knows, he might just post his own update sometime soon.
I did install the new Wifi transmitter at the resort. It works quite well. Not long after a conversation I had with the manufacturer of the access point, they added client isolation. Now that is good customer response!

Hey Todd,
Not that I remember. Some parents did video some games, as a matter of fact I have footage of Joel pitching that I have not looked at for a long time.
I found the the old score pad for this game in old file cabinet in our garage. Diane had marked every pitch, and every out with notes about the plays. Joel and I just reviewed each inning. Between the two of us we relived the whole game and I wrote it down.
It's a Wonderful Life!
