We have folding wooden chairs that we store under the bed.Same here.

I don't take the chance and tow any faster than 65...maybe once in a while when passing. Besides, my MPG gets much worse above 65.

I'd get the toad batterY at WM. Wherever you are in the USA, and have a battery problem, you can always find a Wally World.

$5k will buy lots of spare and replacement parts.

I'm just going to ask a dumb question. Does the control unit have an Auto/On position? Is it in Auto? If it is the On position the fan will not shut off.Just a thought.
That was going to be my question. If your T stat is set up like noted above and is in the "on" position, the A/C compressor will cycle on and off, but the fan keeps running.

High 7s to low 8s with our 400 ISL. Biggest detriment to fuel mileage is a heavy foot and head winds.

If you want one with AC power, check Sams, Costco or Wally World. WM has a Black and Decker for $170:

If you have any questions as to it's engine build date, call the engine manufacturer with the engine serial number.
If you have a question about chassis build date, call your chassis manufacturer with your VIN.
-
If you have any questions, call Carefree. My experience is that their techs service is higher quality than their awning material and thread.

We were members of 1000 Trails for three years then let it drop. It seems when we got to a park all the good spaces were taken by people with annual contracts. So while we searched for a good site, most were taken by empty RVs waiting for their week end owners.

CRV, one of the only vehicles where the manufacturer says you can pull it four down and tells you how to do it in the manual. Plus you get Honda's reliability and economy.

The bottom line for the operation of HPs is that they work in moderate temps, not when it really gets cold. Okay in the fall, not the winter.

...If you travel to high altitudes keep in mind that for every 1000 ft above sea level you loose about 3% in performance. Engines are rated at sea level...This is true for non turbo engines. Virtually all diesels are turbo, so they are not bothered by altitude...the turbo keeps packing in the air. The engine doesn't know if it in Key West or climbing the Rockies.
One other consideration with DEF, when we were looking for newer MHs in 2010, we were informed that a new MH with DEF vs one without DEF would cost about $11,000 more.

We got the free one year KOA membership but have yet to use it. KOA is a last resort...you can stay in a motel for what some KOAs charge.

Assuming you have a diesel, the water separator will be on the bottom of the primary fuel filter.

HWH recommends using WD-40. Check this link.http://www.winnebagoind.com/resources/service/pdfs/2010-08%20Care%20of%20HWH%20Jacks.pdf
WD 40 is good for loosening nuts, bolts, etc. However, as a lubricant, it attracks crud, road grime, dirt and everything else on the road which defeats it's purpose. I'm surprised HWH still recommends it. We have a sailboat and were advised to use dry lube for all moving parts...which makes sense for MHs.

Not so with Flying J and Pilot. You might want to re-check your information. I don't always use PFJ, but when I must it's very easy and only requires the swipe of a card at the pump. Thanks, maybe they've changed and I need to check them out again. My previous comments were based on personal experience, not any "information" I have gotten elsewhere.

Butch,...My Monaco will start to rise to the Travel position as soon as I start the engine...
Herman
Same here.

Thanks my friend. From the monaco web site it looks like a 2006 Holiday Rambler Navigator 45PBQ & there is one for sale in Alvarado, Texas.Bill
There are two dealers in Alvarado...which has it listed?

I avoid all the national big rig stops. In my experience, most are crowded, dirty, charge more (not less) for fuel, make you go inside to turn the pump on, back inside to pay...a royal PITA. I look at The Next Exit and try to find a big rig friendly station that sells lots of full.

Sorry...didn't realize it was UNDER the slide topper. A new seal around the slide top and upper sides should solve your problem. Had that problem with a 5th wheel.
-
Have you tried getting on the roof and sweeping off the water prior to pulling in the slides?
-
...Why would you automatically assume a device designed and manufactured for a specific purpose will probably damage or impede the operation of the device it is intended for? Let's be factual instead of assumptive....Camping World et al, make lots of things that should never be used on RVs, but people keep buying them, so CW keeps making them. Typical example is supports they make to put under slides. In every RV we have had with slides, the manual said not to use supports...if there is a flat tire, the coach settles but the supports keep the slide from moving with the coach resulting in serious damage.
Re screens...we had them and the refrig was not working correctly...removed the screens, now all is well. I have also added an AC powered fan in the upper left corner of the back of the refrig to help with cooling.

You lose about 3% of power for every 1,000' of altitude gained.

My seat fuses are in the forward street side basement bin.
