  2. You guys that recommend AGM batteries should make sure the people that you are recommending them to have inverter charger that will support AGM 's.
  3. While your all arguing, pulling fuses, disconnecting batteries, burning up transmissions, I'll be sailing down the road with my manual transmission Focus, nothing to do except hook up. Plus its a ball to drive. Cigarette lighter can be wired hot all the time for the brake control. Charge line from the coach keeps the battery up. No steering column lock, put her in neutral lock the doors up and go. I'm sure all you old duffers like me can drive a stick, if the wife can't, too bad, she can ride her bike.
  4. Those are still Thor products. Look at the Tiffins or Winnebagos. More money, but you get what you pay for.
  5. They (Allied) have the best ban for the buck so far.
  6. Sounds good folks, thanks. Henry
  7. Getting quotes, and I'm getting them all over the place especially Progressive. Talking with Robin at FMCA she came up with a good price from Allied, anyone have any experience with them?
  8. What type of wax or polish do you use on full body paint? I have been told the turtle wax products are good.
  9. I think any gas, water or drain lines that move is a accident waiting to happen. Wouldn't have one.
  10. Go to an electrical wholesale supply house. Don't even bother with Home Depot or Lowes. Leviton, Slater or Hubble will have what your looking for.
  11. I love the front ends on these Suncruisers, they look mean.
  12. I see they have a 36 ft Georgetown on a 20,500 lbs chassis, and a 208 inch wheel base, that just ain't right. You wanna go from a Tiffin to a Forest River?

    GFCI Fault

Sorry your having a hard time understanding this, but a GFCI recepticle only trips when there is unbalance between the the ungrounded conductor (hot as you guys call it) and the grounded conductor (neutral) if there is 1 amp flowing in the circuit exactly 1 amp has to return on the neutral. if it goes somehwere else say from you to ground it trips. That is a ground fault. A GFI breaker does two things. Trips if there is an overload, or short, and also protects against against ground fault, but in this case the OP is talking about a GFI plug

    GFCI Fault

Kay a gfi is not a fuse. it senses any leak to the grounding conductor. so your remark about being over loaded doesnt work
  15. Been looking at one of their diesel pushers. I know it's built on a Freightliner chassis, 8.3 come a part, but how's the rest of the coach? The price range appears to suit my budget, but I know you get what you pay for. Astoria is the model.
  16. I take it that all the *** a parts (Cummins) require the DEF fluid? Why cant they make it an additive. Anyone know just what engines do or don't require it?
  17. When did that start, I mean how far back to you have to go and have a DP that doesn't use DEF? What is the ratio of DEF to a gallon of diesel, and how $ is it? One would think that it could be mixed into the fuel.
  18. I was reading the last issue of FMCA. The article about the new Winnebago tour said that it held 150 gal of fuel and 15 gal of DEF. So Where do you come up with 15 gal of DEF whenh on the road? Maybe ILL go back to the idea of buying a new gas burner. that sounds like a real pain in the ***
  19. Well mess my pants. Im glad I found this out before I plunked down a couple hundred grand on a new Journey. I'll forward this to the dealer in Iowa and see if they respond.
  20. That's kinda what I figured also Brett. I live in Michigan, so you know the winters we get, but the my ride is inside when not in use, and I won't use it in the winter. How difficult is it to change a window? Probably a pain in the ***. Thanks for the reply H
  21. I will be ordering a new coach in the near future. Ive talked to two Winnebago dealers and gotten totally different opinions on the two items. One says the dual windows are future problems and that adding the heat pump option is a waste of money also. The other says I should get both. Any comments appreciated. Henry #152452
  22. Thanks for all the replys. Its kinda what I expected. You know the funny thing I noticed is that there has been little done in the way of aerodynamic improvments to motorhomes. They all except a few remind me of a 4X8 sheet of plywood going down the road. Look at the new front ends of semi's. In the last few years the truck mfg's have made a gallent effort to improve the fuel consumption of there highway tractors.
