The Genset likely needs a starting battery and not a deep cycle if it a separate battery just for that purpose. If Lifelines are out I would be looking for a good sealed deep cycle battery that will provide the amp hours necessary to meet your demands.

2 weeks is not much time. It's nearly a 4000 mile round trip which would take 8 days if you could pull 500 miles per day (Yikes!) just to get there and get back. That only leaves 6 days to explore. Grizzly in W. Yellowstone is a good choice if you need full hook-ups but Fishing Bridge inside the park is a much better location and there are several others that are even better if you can dry camp.
For Mt. Rushmore, the KOA is likely the closest and most convenient not only for exploring the Mt. but also Crazy Horse, Custer and the scenic drives in the area. If you can find the time you will pass by Devil's Tower and it a worthwhile stop. The trip to Cody will require some back road driving but the roads are very good, just take your time. That will bring you into the East entrance of Yellowstone making most any park other than Grizzly the most convenient.

If you want to use 2 receivers you must run 1 dedicated cable from the 1000 to each of the receivers (a total of 2). That assumes that neither receiver is a DVR but 2 single tuner receivers.

I am going to stick with the manufacturers recommended filter (and no manufacturer recommends K&N). Do disrespect to Desertdeals, just my own personal choice.

Most info on the K&N is very bad (filter percentages too low). Others will chime in saying they are fine. I would listen to the majority if I were you.

On a note separate from the Trav'ler, do you know that Bell has now reduced the area where the signal is available? Bell changed the US footprint on the HD signal (82 sat) awhile back and now they appear to have change the other satellite (91 sat) footprint as well. There are reports that neither satellite is available after you get a few hundred miles S. of the border. It appears to be along a line somewhere around the middle of OR (44th parallel?).

If I had a diner and a McDonald's opened across the street I would do more to attract business and not start a petition that says no one is allowed to go to McDonald's.
CG's need to do more to attract overnighters or just write them off. I would love to stay at a campground, even a bit out of my way, if I could pay a fee appropriate to my stay. In after 5, power only, out by 9 or 10. I am going going to pay $30-$40 when I can get everything except the power at a Wal-Mart and the only thing it costs me is a bit of fuel to run the genny.

That's information I should have added to my post. It may be an excellent option for you.
DNS Networks are available on 72.7 as well (the satellite alluded to above) but no local Network programming would be available.

I am sorry to say that no, it cannot. The crank-up antenna has no ability to skew (move off of the level attitude) which is required to line up 3 different satellites at 3 different elevations.

Larry we have used a king dome for years it works for us, you might want to contact King Dome Sales I do beleve they can assist getting you set up

If your batteries were really "that" dead, you likely now have DEAD batteries. Batteries do not take well to getting fully discharged and may short out. Pay close attention to the batteries as they charge to ensure they do not over heat or show signs of bulging. Once they show fully charged (if that ever happens) you will want to test or have the batteries tested to see if any major damage has been done.

A large number of people belong to FMCA. A very small number of these members are also members of this forum. You might want to print a note and see if there is a public bulletin board where you could post it there at the campground.

That, of course, depends upon your needs and how long you will be keeping your coach. "Worth it" to you may not equate to "worth it" to another RV owner. I love my Lifelines but I doubt I am going to pay $2400 to replace them in my 25 year old coach.

Where are you located? Courses in CA aren't going to help if you live in VA.

You are going to need more than +1 to afford the Lifeline batteries!
$$$$With that said, I have Lifeline's and they are the best. I have also been able to justify the cost as I have had the same bank of house batteries for many years. They will be 10 years old this January. Other batteries I have tried were much lower cost but required a regimented dedication to routine maintenance or there life would be dramatically shortened. I have not touched these batteries since installation other than occasionally wiping off some dust! No gasses causing rusting or other damage and no possibility of sulfuric acid splash or spill.
My time is about up on these batteries, however, as they are starting to show shorter periods without recharging. My only concern in replacing them is whether I think I will keep this coach long enough now to justify the expense.

I have seen these for sale at various RV rallies.
I have heard mixed reviews so be sure that whatever you buy you try first (or have a return option) as different people have different needs. You can do the same basic thing if you and your spouse have phones. Just call each other using the headphones designed for your phone and it's all hands free.

I believe you are asking if you can use the "park cable" connection in the RV to connect an external satellite TV antenna. If so, the answer is no and yes. No, you cannot do this without making some cabling changes and yes, if you can locate the other end of that cable and move it so that it connects directly to the back of the satellite receiver. If your Patriot has a Video Control Center where you can push a button to select TV, Cable, Aux, VCR, etc., you just need to disconnect the cable in the back of this box labeled Cable In and move it to your satellite receiver. If you have some other setup let us know and we might be able to give you the necessary instructions.

If you want Wal-Mart to take responsibility, where do you think Wal-Mart was negligent? That's the real question as you would have to find that Wal-Mart failed to take reasonable precautions to avoid such damage. I don't think you could win that fight with or without signs to support that position. When you add the forces of nature, which are totally out of Wal-Mart's control, you add more complexity to your claim. You should have insurance that will cover the damage.

There is an excellent shuttle service so you should not have to walk far at all to reach a shuttle stop. The coaches are laid out in rows of maybe 30 side by side. A walk to the end of that row will get you to where the shuttle can pick you up. Once you are in the main vendor area, most everything is very close for easy access including the RV displays, vendor booths, food, seminars and the ice cream social!
It's an excellent facility, well laid out and easy for anyone to access.
