Your RS sounds great. Ray your said "The wheel and tire warranty covers road hazards if I flatten and damage the wheels." I have heard so many problems with approvals from the RS, how does it work if you have a blow out, heavens forbids on the weekend? Do they contact a service and pay for everything? What if they don't have a service in the middle of Montana? Will they match the tire and rim to what you have?

    Just wondering, it sounds great.

    Herman

The tire and wheel protection is a separate contract and hopefully I won't have to use it.  I'm sure there are extremes when it would cost you more.

Puff, most tire brands have their own warranty, included in price of tire!  For DW's peace of mind, 5 year +2 year warranty is a (expensive) but good thing!  A lot of overlap there.  40% off  what? MSRP?  Dealers or Factory?

Puff, I have had an Extended Service Plan for 12 years and I have used them extensively. We also have peace of mind. Mine has Seals and stuff added to it.  It may be expensive but IMO it is worth it.

The extended warranty I have covers everything except maintenance items.  Imagine if that large whirlpool fridge had to be replace and the only way to get it out is to remove the windshield.  Yes, peace of DW mind.

Off the manufacture MSRP window sticker.  I have the window sticker that matches the vin and serial number.

We also run our water thru a water softener before it enters house (coach also) .  Puff, what was the odometer reading when you got it?  That gen hour reading is too high to my thinking for a 12-18 month old coach...you got a big service at 1,000 hours!  Don't forget, once the coach arrives at the show, it's hooked up to 50 A.

No, very little 50 amp unless at a FMCA rally so it's generator.

OK you got me looking at some numbers.  The K2 Spartan chassis was built on 02/2018 and the motorhome was built 04/2018 for the 2019 model year.  Entegra was suppose to show their 2021 lineup at FMCA Tucson, AZ.  So the chassis and the motorhome will be soon 2 years old.  The factory probable took it to shows first before delivering to RV country.

RV Country has 11 location in WA, OR, CA, AZ and NV including Quartzite and does at least one show a month.   With this Entegra nearing 2 years old in January, the factory wanted it sold and deeply discounted it nearly 40%.   That's when DW saw it a "fell in love with it" and you know what my job is to get it.  Also by then it had 8,500 miles on it and 600 +hours on the generator.  To deliver it from Quartzite, AZ to Mount Vernon, WA made the odometer read 9,842 miles.   It had starting to  show wear from so many customers had to look and broke a couple of small items.  Many of that has been cleaned or fixed.

When we picked it up Friday the 2 years factory warranty begins with added 5 years tire and wheel protection and 6 year 75,000 miles extended protection plan.  Many may say the extra warranty is not worth the extra cost but DW is happy.

DW is loading inside the coach and my job is the basement.  There s no hurry to get it done right now so that gives my time to check everything out and get fixed what don't work right before the shake down.

Herman.  National Parks are open, visitor centers and cafes are not.  We found most private parks/resorts are open!  Suggest you by pass Colorado, they have a COVID-19 issue, guess they all want to party, when they blow smoke!

We're going to Three Rivers Wed for a week to 10 days, then Galveston to check on house and CPA.  May is a wash out for us, due to eye surgery the 7th and 15th!  We head out for 4+ months the first week of June...life goes on! :P

Puff. Take your coach for a trip to Montana!  Just stay away from the big cities...that's where the problems are! 😎

Montana is still too cold this time of year as we like to get outside the coach also.  I may change my mind and go to a RV resort on 82 in Washington.

GE Whole House Water Filtration System

I have a extra filter similar to this one. When I need to change the filter (2) in the coach, I will hook this extra  filter up a potable water hose, put a new filter in the housing and run several gallons of water through the filter to eliminate having to do it when they are in the coach.

    Herman

I have 1 micron and 5 micron and one in the fridge.  It won't hurt for you to hook that up.  I may still use the charcoal one on the water hose.

  8. Yes that one port is for pressure gauge, the whole unit is a aftermarket fuel pressure regulator and probably keeps the pressure and flow going at WOT.  That might of been added if someone installed an electric fuel pump.

  9.

I did tossed out a couple cups of water from the water dispenser but yes it will be good to throw out a couple of batches of ice.  I got the dishwasher going, I'm on a roll.

I would keep an eye on it and toss out the first couple of batches as you just put new filters in. There is usually some carbon and filter lint washes out the first couple of batches. Probably wouldn't hurt you but looks bad in the glass.:D

What do you mean "It works when you turn it on"B)

  10. No ice this morning so I got the instruction for the Whirlpool fridge out.  It said to turn on the switch and I couldn't find the dang thing.   Finally I took the cover off the ice dispensor  and there it was in the off position so I turned it on.  Must be loading because when I put the cover back on and closed the door it was making all kinds of wacky noises.

Great! We are typically in the home area from November through April, maybe May. Door is always open, coffee is free for visitors as are other drinks.

When we travel up the Left Coast we stay at military campgrounds so we would be staying at the Whidbey Island NAS CG. Great view across to Canada.

Do you have macerator flush toilets?

Remind me the next time we are passing your way.  The rear toilet has two buttons on it.  One for quick flush water saver and the other button for larger flush.  If you push both buttons at the same time it empty the toilet for travel.  The front toilet has a fill and flush switch.  To dump you turn the macerator  pump on and pull the handles outside to dump.  It uses a smaller hose than normal.

Great, now you can turn the fridge back on and keep some cold beverages handy while you relax. No I mean while you study the new manuels. B)

    Bill

The fridge was on then to test the water and staying on to make ice.  Haven''t made ice yet.  Maybe in the morning there will be some.  If not I have to find the manual about turning on and off the  ice maker.

I was thinking along those lines. That  and a engine that hasn't been run/maintained in a long time. One thing with it in a motorhome you can see what is going on when you crank it. You can also have some excitement if it backfires through the carb with the air cleaner off.

Andy, recap for me. did you have spark at all the plugs? Have you installed new plugs? The outher tune up things, weirs, cap rotor condenser? Did you buy some starting fluid as was suggested?

Just a thought, is the "wet"  you are seeing all fuel or is there some water mixed in? In your first post you said"As I was driving, going around a corner I felt the engine rpm slowing down and it stalled. I started it again and made I a few more feet before it died." Is it possible you sucked up some water out of the tank?

    Bill

I think it has electronic ignition with a module and pickup.  No computerized spark advance as vacuum control.

Glad t was something simple and "not in the new coach" I have left the fridge on and the water heater since I got it home. What/how much power do you have available?

Yes you have lots of new reading material.:D

    Bill

Yes the DW scolded me for leaving the fridge on and wasting electricity.  The batteries may had been low when I took delivery as it wasn't plugged in and the fridge was running and all interior lights were on.  Once I knew that it wasn't plugged in I had the mechanic start the generator.

Yes I have lots of material to read as even the dishwasher have a remote.  For now I will hide the suitcase in the left front compartment if it fits.

The next task is install the  water filters as the mechanic wasn't allowed to touch them because of the corona-virus situation.   Maybe today

Huff, One of these days we'll get back to Whidbey Is. Would like to meet y'all and see that beautiful coach.

Or, come on down here to the Gulf Coast, Galveston area and we'll tour you around. Early Spring or late fall/winter. Get away from the snow.

The closest we got to Galveston is Houston, Texas traveling to and from the east coast for the Christmas holiday vacation.  We plan to make that trip this coming Christmas season.  It seems like you would be going a bit out of the way to visit us but we can meet at a nearby large casino parking lot where it's big rig friendly.
