  1. Yea, so will Marathon, Liberty and Newell. My bank account is not that deep! Also, at almost 73 (next month) I have no clue on how much

longer I want to or can tool around in a 45' coach! :(

If I can't pay cash, I don't buy anything! I have no mortgage payments, so I would have to win the Lotto for a custom coach! Seems to me

it would be better and more cost affective to re-model what I have.

  2. Just read your bio. Since your family believed in the "Old Testament" & King David, Solomon, etc. Don't suppose your a Mason also?

Your right, not going to be fun in the mountains for the next 3-5 days! Per Joe, it's chili time! Only hope he also likes corn bread...LOL

  3. My HOA is 72 hours in driveway, no restriction next to house! Huh?? City of Galveston has only one restriction of 12 hours (daylight, no night) on Seawall, never been enforced by city, because it's Hwy. 87 (State)! All other city streets is no "buggy" for more than 9 days (enacted in 1887) and never been changed !

My house is at the end off a cull-de-sac and I park there for loading with elect. for 5-10 days with slides out! Nothing from HOA or city in 12 years!

I lived for 14 years, further west on Island and kept my coach in driveway with full H/U, not a peep from anyone, HOA or city!

  4. No toad today? No way! Prior to 1983, nobody that I knew had a toad, but all the "cookie cutter" coaches where short and operated on

15 or 30 amp! I got my first toad in 84' and never been without one since and I love the freedom!

I do know a lot of people that still have no toad, but they carry motorcycles, scooters or mopeds instead...works for them! They do not

play golf or go trout fishing! :(

As Bill said, if your in a park for a length of time, then you also get a rental car and it's probably more cost efficient. :P

    My 2 cent worth.

  5. Joe, snow will start later today! :) Yankee Chili? <_< You need to come to Texas and learn how to make the real stuff!:D

Where I am, we are looking for a high of 67 today, current is 46 and I have heather on! You can keep your BLIZZARD, the only

Blizzard we have is a milk shake at DQ!:lol:

I'd keep the "Scan Gauge" where it's at. Will we see you and DW at Perry in March?

  6. Walls Drug Store in S. Dakota, Glacier Park and Banff, Canada ( all part of the same park), Yellowstone, Snake River, Fish Market in Seattle, Olympia National Park, Astoria and all of Hwy. 101 South. Wine country of California, Grand Canyon, all the National Parks in the 4 corners area. Just a few!

In 3.5 months you can cover a lot off the lower 48! Personally, I would get all my Ducks in a row and head out with no time frame in mind, just wander! 14 weeks or 40, I would do it... :) Trip planner, I only use when I have to be at a specific place and then I use FMCA!

Good luck and enjoy the ride!

  7. ferg54, welcome to the Forum!

I was there yesterday and we went over what I needed to fix. Was very surprised when they took time and fixed my bay door lock so I could use my water hookup again. My appointment is next Monday. That sure beats all the dealers that can't or won't take you for 4 to 6 weeks, because you did not buy from them!

They took me into the bays to look at their work, spotless and I was impressed with their ability! They do complete re-model or build you a new conversion coach! Also do 5th wheel trailers and custom horse haulers.

I fully expected my problems to be around $ 3 to 4,000 and they expect it to be less than $1,500!

    Will keep the Forum posted.
