LOL...your 03' looks like my 13', from the side!

Solar is nice and I have it, however it does not work in a garage. When plugged in, my house batteries stay at 13.6v, but unless I turn my starter batteries off, they will drop to 12v over a month or longer time and I need to use house batteries for starting. I now have a separate system...so far, so good!
I needed a "jump" once and used it to start generator, then used house batteries to start engine...later found out that I had a dead cell in engine battery. I can get at one to check, not the other. Before going to Madison for FMCA, I will replace both with AGM. Since all my 6v batteries are in 1 bay, no problem!

John, you can get a box that has the door for a lock and they are also water proof. At my house, all outside boxes are water proof and lockable. My RV is kept in a garage at a storage facility, so I only have a door to lock but I do have elect., connections inside.
Good Luck!

Ditto! I would rather have more than less.

I just picked up my jeep from an after market shop. No base plate needed. I will be towing, using the shackle mounts that are the same size as the Road Master mounts and spaced apart the same as with the bar! My Jeep is still a work in progress and next is roll bars and 4 point seat belt harness, also a steel rear bumper and winch.
Since my lift is 3" with 18" rimes and 33" tires, I got a variable height receiver for bus from American Fence. FMCA 4 Wheelers have a very restrictive list of must have equipment for membership!!! I do believe in safety, but I'm not going on a safari, just enjoyable ride with local 4X4 clubs.
I will have pics when Jeep is ready....about 3 months, also will be in Madison for FMCA reunion in July.

Hi. 359105, welcome to the forum.
I have a Spartan!

Since the tires have not blown in 11 years, I would definitely replace them all with the same brand! Also, would not trust any tire on a RV more than 7 years MAX!
A blow out at 65 mph is a white knuckle flight!!!

Warren....Amen!

I have a Sani Con and never use it. Since my toilet is a electric macerator, I find that the Sani Con is as you stated. I use as much 3" as needed, up to 30 foot and if it's longer than that, I just back up coach and dump prior to leaving. When I camp long term ( 10 days +), my connections are closer to coach.
Use off a small drip pan is essential and I use aluminum pans.
"Old fashion", I suppose.

As Herman said, on the subject. In Colorado, in Summer, I have had to use 30 amp and found no problem with it. Warm days, cool nights...in Texas, I would go with 50 amp.
As Jim S said, "get another electrician"!
My 2 cents worth....

Michelin owns BFG and other brands. Dunlop is owned by Goodyear. BFG is as good a tire as Michelin for RV Coaches, per Superior Tire in Oregon, that replaced all my tires in August 14'....I was told this by Dealer after I had 8 Michelins installed. Had I gotten BFG, it would have saved me $ 180 per tire!
It's kind of like insurance, the more they advertise, the more you pay!
I would not do Dunlop, but I would do Goodyear in your tire size.

Good grief! Who is paying for camping?
2 weeks OK, but 49 days? I would be Cummins Headquarters worst nightmare!!!
Wish you a speedy recovery!

Don't know about North Rim, but the rest should not be a problem. MOHAB has year around parks and you need a reservation ASAP! Durango has a lot off parks, but get a reservation as there are a lot of folks who come in their RV's for summer, mostly Texas and Arizona. Cortez has 3 parks in town, I prefer Dolores River RV Park in Dolores (15 miles N of Cortez on Hwy. 145), I have spent 2 to 3 months at a time there, for the past 4 years.
All the roads in area are good and open all year.
Enjoy yourself.

I have never been to Wisconsin, Minnesota or Michigan, except to fly over, and would like to know what to see and where to camp. I'll have two months. I thought about driving around the lakes and coming back in via Canada in Northern Michigan. Carl

When was it last serviced?
Try lenp's idea.

They are all nice men and women, until you file a claim! After I got my current coach (used), I opted to get a one year extended warranty from GS. I had 2 claims, that was refused because I did not have any service records from original owner! Warranty $ 2,419, Repairs $ 3607....I did not renew!
Now I have a Coach account.
Back in the 90's, I had extended warranty's on a couple off blue water Cigarette boats and it cost a bunch, but it did pay for most of my breakdowns and what it did not cover went on my Insurance, witch also cost a bunch. My CPA told me that I broke even after 7 years!!!
I just can't justify the cost on a coach. Insurance, yes! I guess it all boils down to "what your comfort level is"!

Thank you all! I did not know that Hydralift had a system for a trike! I will check it out, I hate leaving my bike at home.
ultraglide. You could just get something for the bike and drive the car, as there is both of you. I don't have that ability, since my dog don't drive.

Thank you, Medico. Glad to hear that. I was getting concerned about your earlier quote!
Wish I could register my coach in FL. $60 for tags would be heaven! Here they go by weight....
Where in FL are you?

RVPA.
Now that you have the opinion of a bunch of males...you really need to ask the wife!
You said "travel 6 weeks at a time". What does the coach do the other 46 weeks? Are you in it for more than 6 weeks? Like a campground.
When I'm home, I use my dishwashers all the time!

Mattyboy, I would get a second opinion from an electrician, not a mechanic, about what needs to be replaced. Most insurance adjuster will simplify and low boy a claim if they can.
I hope you have an Insurance that knows about and specialize in RV's, not just cars.
Good Luck.

Roy and Emma,
It's a pleasure to hear from someone who does not have a problem!
Enjoy your retirement and happy trails.

epstep, welcome to the forum.
I had a 2006 Southwind for about 18 months and was very happy with it. Only reason I traded it for a 40' DP, is that back then I had to pull a big trailer full of parade funny cars (Shriners International) and the gas rig just could not do it!
Good travels.

Herman. The only thing I do different, is to flush hose with fresh water after each dump, then put away. Since it's only me in coach, I dump black about every week or so and gray every 3 to 4 days...this is when I'm in RV park for a longer time, otherwise about every other day on road.
I do not leave hose out and connected. I have had more than one connector learn to walk away! All within the last 10 years....
