Joe, Think there is a hidden design flaw. When the electric system shorts out / fails, the refrigerator control board will tend to switch to LP. That is a auto function  on many models.

One can defeat that by placing the system in the LP mode manually. Not real positive if that step will prevent your case, but it would keep the gas valve open and no AC supplied to the 2 - 400 watt electric heater coils that light up the coolant in the system.  Kind of like using a lighter to light a number of chemicals spraying out of the can.

    Rich.

Pulling the outside wall access off, reaching into a fire ball and tearing out all of the wires shut it off immediately. Not sure why that was my first thought but it worked. Arm hair grew back and only minor burns that left no permanent marks. I had more heat as a Firefighter from failed fire gear than that, that hair didn't grow back.

  2. Mike, are we married to the same woman?  you just described my wife! They also must be near an area with shopping and attractions to explore.

The wife is a bit of an "RV Park Snob" so I have to exercise caution when looking at RV parks / resorts i.e. need wide spots with lots of room between spots,  paved spots or non-dusty gravel spots (e.g. crushed granite) plus good amenities

I have my motorhome covered and in storeage and it's a chore to remove and replace the cover.  So I'm waiting until I'm good and ready.

I can relate. I wanted to take ours for a ride to shake off some stress. I’m too lazy to unplug it and pull the tire covers let alone a full cover

I wonder if a residential will last over 20 years, my Norcold 1200LRIM has.

Yes, we had a member on here in the past with a residential that was from 1997, still going strong. Shocked me as we’ve lived in this S&B house since 1999 and we are on #2. He and his wife were full timers also.

  5. Rich, pretty common on newer equipment that is multiplexed. When one module is missing an input i.e. open ABS sensor the others see the fault and illuminate their lights as well. I just experienced a new truck with a malfunctioning AM/FM radio cause a breakdown! Most newer chassis get the speedometer signal from the ABS module, and most will not move with a wheel speed sensor or ABS malfunction.

Joe, I think that's the Soot level, looks like the warning for regeneration is on the lower left side off RPM gauge.  I see 2 yellow engine lights also on RPM gauge!

If that's the case he doesn't have a DEF tank gauge . It looks to me like it needs DEF added and a parked regen performed. When DEF drops below a certain level the system will not function, which will cause the soot levels to climb rapidly. If the soot level is at 101% no passive regen (while driving) is going to knock that down enough. Typically at 95% blockage there is damage occurring to the turbocharger from the exhaust having no way to exit and coming back up to the turbocharger.

I have a 2017 ISL in the shop now, driver ignored the parked regen request for a few days, took out the turbocharger and broke the Catalyst (DOC) causing it to move in the housing, it moved so far it hit the temp sensor, the DPF is so clogged it cannot be cleaned and there was so much heat coming back into the intake it wiped out the fuel injectors, those are scored internally from heat. $19,000 in damage all for ignoring the engine's request for a parked regen.

The photo below, that should be flush with the end of the metal case, it got so hot it melted the glue.

  7. Well the original code was low fuel rail pressure, then it sounds line it went to the high side with the fault yesterday. This is a tough one to pinpoint by guessing. It could be a bunch of components causing this fault. It needs to go to a Cummins authorized shop before it causes other components to weaken or fail and really runs up your tab.

Both MPA readings above are in range, but at what RPM it set the fault is the real question? Said another way, it could have had 15000 PSI at idle which is too high but at 2000 RPM's it was in spec.

  8. Not familiar with the brand you are inquiring about. We have a Denver RV mattress in our coach, its terrible!  Their secret to success, the display models rope you into comfort, yours arrives and its noting like the demo model you sat on at the RV show. The only positive is they admitted to me their demo models are nothing like the models they sell. While I appreciated their honesty it doesn't help when you are trying to sleep.
