  1. One front air bag is not holding air due to loss caused by friction of 'someting' rubbing against 'something' & caused a hole (puncture leak). We can Not find any info at all via internet with Google searches. We did find a list of items in our Motorhome which included: Front Leveler from Lippert, Model Number: 176805. We certainly need help! We need to try to find a replacement air bag.

  11. Do you have an F number with a D (daughter), S (son), G (grand) or P (parent) membership? Since F in FMCA stands for FAMILY- who better to have a Chapter? Please Reply with your interest!
  12. If you arrive prior to your Date of Admittance; you will probably be directed to the Holding Area. It doesn't appear to be any fee for that day since the "Parking Days" are both Monday & Tuesday - which were based upon the date you Registered. From the FAQ for the Gillette Convention: What are the dates of the Gillette Family Reunion & Motorhome Showcase? The official dates are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, June 19, 20, 21 and 22, 2013. Since we want to minimize parking delays, FMCA has established “Parking Days” for Monday and Tuesday, June 17 and 18, based upon the date you register. Your “Date of Admittance” is the earliest time you will be parked. If you arrive later than your assigned arrival time, don’t worry, you will be parked as quickly as possible.
  13. I went to UPS.com to get a guesstimate for shipping a package. Then I remembered as a member of FMCA there is a member benefit discount for UPS. I spent several minutes completing the online info using the FMCA link to UPS. After completing that, I set up to ship the same package (zip codes from/to addresses) weight and package dimensions. I received the SAME, EXACT pricing! NOT a single penny savings! I called UPS and was told it will take three to five business days for my account to reflect any discount available. Shipping a package before that will be at regular rates.
  14. Are you headed toward Brooksville, Florida or are you already there? This year Southeast Area is honoring veterans. There will be a large turnout with about 1800 coaches expected. John (our Alternate National Director )and Vicki Ferrari will be heading up the Chapters activities. Rick Dupuis who is our President is there as well. We will be represented at the at the Chapter Fair AND our "social" will be held Friday February 8th at 3:30 PM in Lawler Hall. Stop by the Chapter Fair and offer to help out. Please put up flags, coach decorations whatever and show everyone you're a veteran. This area rally is the largest each year for our Chapter. I've attached a photo of the Ferrari's coach which is in the section where National Officers are located. Stop in if you get lost in the details. If you can bring an appetizer to the social it would be appreciated! The Chapter Fair or the Social are great places to pay your Chapter dues for 2013. If all else fails or you are not at Brooksville please send them now ($10.00 for renewals) to our Treasurer Phil Shippee, 9613 West Irma Ln, Peoria AZ 85382. The INTO (International Area) rally which will be held at Lazy Days in Tucson in March. We know that 280 coaches have already signed up including many Chapter members. The Chapter will be present at the Chapter Fair and of course we will have a social. If you are going to be present PLEASE send me an email so that the 3 Officers present know who is there. Tucson is an outstanding place for veterans both American and Canadian. I especially recommend Davis Monthan Air Force Base and the Pima Air Museum. Plan to decorate your coaches in a Fiesta Theme. "Our theme is Veterans -We Celebrate your Service" There lots of interest in our Pre-Rally in the Surgis/Deadwood SD area. Go to our web-site at www.militaryvets-FMCA.com and then to Special Events to download the registration form. Remember its only 2 hours from Gillette June 7-11 so you can make other pre-rallies with no problem. The Western Area rally was held in January. Over 1200 coaches were present. The good news is that we had a great turnout at the Chapter Fair and recruited 5 new members. Several current members renewed their membership. We had a great social at our home. Thank God it was inside, the winds blew at least 45 mph. The Rally was great, everyone just kept moving along (with or without the wind.) Jerry and I will be at Tucson, Sturgis and Gillette. I hope to see you there, Beverly King, Secretary Military Veterans Chapter-FMCA
  15. bobetlindsay: You better hope you do NOT need AAA for your RV in one of their NON covered areas.........AAA is NOT one company nationwide, but is 51 separate small companies with very different rules in each area. MOST do NOT cover RVs and will NOT even provide you the courtesy of dispatching the needed service with you paying.....Check for yourself, if you doubt what I say. Just to let you know: we have AAA RV Plus from Western New York and have not had any problems getting roadside service across the USA. We've been members of AAA of WNY for 40 years of which 20+ years RV Plus coverage (with the last 10 years as full-timers). We have been towed to a facility of OUR choice- (covered for upto 100 miles). Received roadside service for a tire blow-out with the spare tire mounted and installed. When we crawled off an interstate and came to a stop, AAA stayed in contact with us and updated us with response time, wrecker size etc. Another time we were towed to one facility (because it was a weekend) and on Monday morning AAA towed us again to the next service facility a few miles away because they could help us much more quickly.
  16. Please: Help me find the member at who honored me tonight at FMCA's Indianapolis convention at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. This afternoon was the Military Veterans meeting, so I was wearing my Stars and Stripes shirt with my U.S. Navy Woman Veteran sleeve patch. Tonight, I was handed a card after the evening entertainment. On the front, behind the Yellow Ribbon, was printed: Thank You For your Service and Dedication to Our Country. On the reverse side: Dear American Hero, I am not certain for all you have done to secure my freedom. Please accept this simple card as a small token of my appreciation. Signed: May God Bless You, A grateful American citizen. The gentleman handed it to me after the Dutton's performance at evening entertainment. He was wearing a patriotic shirt with our flag and an eagle. I want to personally thank him for bestowing such an honor!

  21. From google search: How to DIY/Cleaning fabric shades: These shades present many cleaning problems. Never use a cleaner of any kind on day-night shades. They stain easily. Vacuum often to prevent dirt from taking control. Be sure to clean the bristles of your vacuum attachment before you vacuum. Hardware stores carry a dry sponge you'll find in the wallboard section. Use the sponge dry and wipe over the surface. The micro fiber towels do a good job as well. Dampen with water and wring out all the excess moisture. Quickly wipe over the blinds. Do not get excess moisture on them. Store the shades in a closed position whenever possible to keep the pleats well defined. Wood Window Shades Vacuum regularly. To clean, remove them laying them on a towel on a linoleum floor. Scrub with a soft nylon brush dipped in Ivory and water Read more: http://www.doityourself.com/stry/cleaningblindsshades#ixzz1QiMRGaax Hope this helps
