  1. Thank you Brett That what I kinda figured just wanted to be correct before doing air check and weight check. So I assume Tow weight would be the same also 10,000 lbs
  2. I have a Class C Thor on a Ford E350 Heavy Duty Chassis, I'm looking For axle ratings only place I could find it is in Ford Owners manual is that the weight I use when I axle out my RV ? Also what about GVWR is that changed from door tag since it has RV body or do they change these stickers when they add RV body ? I probably should have asked when I bought it but didn't seem like the guy giving me the post purchase run knew very much anyway..
  3. I had the same problem with my ladder Bracket last month and called Kiley Mold they were very helpful got my brackets 3 days later
  4. My wife and I are under 60, and have our seven year old granddaughter every summer. So before joining a Chapter I emailed the ones That WE were interested in joining and found one where some of the Members travel with their grandchildren in the summer. Not the same but an Idea?
  5. We where traveling on 95 south headed for South Carolina from Massachusetts I think it was in Virginia when a 2x8 was rolling down the Highway had metal ends on it looked liked a part of a ramp system. With vehicles on both side of me I had no choice but to hit it, so I prayed as I ran it over partly with front right tire and partly under the chassis. I was lucky though-- there was no damage to tire or oil pan and under carriage. Whew was I lucky-- must have it while it was Flat on the Road The RV was only a month old at the time, Thank you God.
  6. You may want to write those filter #s down somewhere so that doesn't happen again. thanks for your blog Loved the story about Mardi Gras

  8. Has anyone tried Walmart's Straight Talk hot Spot, From what I understand it uses Verizon towers It seems to have service everywhere I need it to. I would very much like to get input as I am IN NO WAY tech savvy and my cell phone, is pay as you go, Boost Phone I think it's by sprint. Yes I know What you are thinking but that's what my wife wanted because a friend has one. ok I'm rambling on, any info on the Walmart straight talk hot spot would be appreciated. Getting ready for the Spring.
  9. My mother used to tell us she wanted to get one of those RV's you drive from in the kitchen. (Winnebago),. A few years later we got a pop up and I was hooked when I was 17 I bought an old used telephone Van and customized it with a bed television about six years ago I bought a used 1993 Honey Bear class C. I wanted to be sure my wife liked it and to be sure I still did. And we did. My wife loved it and I fell in love again. This past summer we bought a new Thor Freedom elite Class C at the end of the summer. We took trips to Maine Massachusetts, Connecticut and South Carolina. We down sized from our last Class C, but that's what we wanted that way less likely to stay in the RV. It everything we need and a bed for our Granddaughter. Can't wait to get out again I am Really wish I went south for the winter but to many obligations, this year. We're teaching our 7 year old granddaughter to love it too... There will be another generation of our family RVing.
  10. I saw a at&t wifi not Mifi at Walmart is this the same as mifi?
  11. I am looking for wireless connection for my laptop in my RV. I checked online, and the ones mentioned here on the Forums, and we're not able to use in the areas I travel -- mainly East coast Main to Florida. I did find one that works practically anywhere in the United States -- it's Straight Talk WiFi Hot Spot at Walmart. Does anyone have input on this? I'd like to learn as much as I can about WiFi and using it while traveling in the U.S. What I mean is, does it plug in to AC power and does it have to plug in to the laptop? And, do I need an antenna and relay box, or just the hot spot? I'm not very technical when using computers.
  12. Around 2010 My Wife and I Bought a Used 29' Class C Honey Bear they only made them two years . It was a 1993 we bought it to see if we would enjoy RVing. We where already cabin campers and favored Maine for summer camping, as We live in Massachusetts. In August of 2014 we decided we loved the traveling and the people you meet at CG's so we decided to downsize to a 2015 Thor 22'. Class C-- It's the perfect size for us because it's just us except for the summer when we have our 7 year old Granddaughter. Who by the way has been camping and RVing since she was 6 Months old. The reason I write this is because we are all different in our needs I need a New RV that I can drive down to Florida or just up the road to Maine and size doesn't matter to us as we had no trouble driving to South Carolina and spending a week and a half in the 22 footer plenty of storage space and nice and cozy for us. Now that we are retired we plan on a lot more traveling.
  13. Wolfe, I have fiberglass with decals what's a good wax to use on my 2015 Thor. I use Griot's Rubber Cleaner and 303 Aerospace on my tires I read an article in Motor Home Magazine about the combination. Thanks Roy and Emma

  18. Can anyone tell me how to put picture with my profile so it comes up when I respond or start a topic? I'd also like to put message like travels with pets, and mine and my wife's name. Thank you in advance as I know someone will explain this to me.
  19. My wife and I recently went from a 29 foot class C to a 22 foot class C. We bought the older RV to be sure we would like the life style. We did, so we went to a new one after 5 years with the 29 foot. We decided smaller would suit us better. Most times it's just the two of us but sometimes we bring our granddaughter and it's fine. But the wind and the big trucks passing you make it interesting. It's all about your needs no one choice will be the same for all. I guess that's why they make different sizes and models. Happy Trails to all Roy and Emma Clem
