I'm wondering if any of you pull a trailer behind your Class A MH. I going to be pulling a trailer and am thinking about putting a camera behind the trailer. Have any of you done that? I assume that all of you that pull a toad have no need for a camera other then the one on the MH. In my case the camera on my MH only shows the front of the trailer and I can see nothing behind the trailer. Because I will need to swing wide making right hand turns - it would be nice to see if someone tries to sneak up along side me before I make the turn. Also if someone is tailgating me, I won't know that if I can't see them. So If anyone has trailer towing advice, I would like to hear it. My trailer is an enclosed and about 24ft behind my MH counting the tongue and receiver setup. Thanks in advance for any advice on cameras or driving etc.

Very nice coach. I like the Tag axle too. My Rexhall is a few feet shorter but also a 2002 model. I have a motorcycle lift on the back of my coach too. It's not a Hydrolift but it is hydraulic.

No Fireplace in mine. There is storage in place of where a fireplace could have been. I think it was ordered without one. No basement slide out trays either - however that means I can fit a bicycle in the basement by just removing the front wheel. And a few other things can fit too, as slide out trays do take up some room and reduce the height available for items. Thanks for the comments. I still as of now, have not seen another RoseAir in person. Yes the Aerbus is more popular and I've even seen a few. But in 2002 did they come in a DP version? I thought (at least the older ones) were gas units instead of diesel. I knew when looking for a coach that Diesels were the only units I was interested in. Carl - are you saying that Rexhall was the very first manufacturer to have Slide-outs of any Coach ever made? I didn't know that - if that's what you were saying. I would have thought one of the big name current manufacturers would have owned that title. BTW I do like the fact that they used hydraulic cylinders for the slide-outs.

This brings up a few questions. IF you are on the side of the road and broke down and need a tow - Should you demand a flat bed trailer be used vs. just lifting the front wheels and pulling it to where ever they take it? Or is that not something you can demand? Seems it should be cheaper than $7K in damage to a transmission. IF the coach won't move under it's own power is it OK to winch it up onto a flat bed and do no damage to the transmission for such a short distance? Does anyone know what it takes to unbolt a transmission from the engine and how is the transmission held up while being towed?

I know that I haven't seen any other Motorhomes like the one I now own. It's a 2002 Rexhall Rose Air Diesel Pusher with a Cummins ISC 350HP. It has 2 slides, a side radiator and no TV over the front seats. In this image it's just about ready for it's Winter nap. With any luck next year it will be napping in warmer weather.

And where do you buy Delo 400 15W-40 oil? In gallon jugs? Average Price???

I haven't hit anything yet - but I've only had my MH since last OCT. Now that I have my trailer hooked up it's at about 65ft long and after reading some of your stories I can only hope that I don't hit something too. Because I'm alone I plan on getting out often before and while backing up. But we all know what happens when it's raining.... Maybe I will find some rocks hiding in the grass etc. but I hope not. Why do people put rocks on a corner anyways? Do they really think it will keep us from driving over any area they are trying to protect? Maybe they should pay for any damage we encounter as a result of having a hidden rock lying in wait for us. Especially if they don't mention to look out for said rocks when entering the campground or at least before send us to a site with rocks whether they can be seen or not. JMO.

I agree with you and would have said the same things except for a couple that are only a difference in personal preferences. I don't start my engines (this is the first year with my MH and it is outside in MI) because I don't want to drive on roads that are either icy, snow covered or laced with salt. Not to mention potholes!!! If I can't or won't drive it I won't start it especially in the winter here. I do have the MH plugged in so the house batteries charge and a Battery Tender is on the chassis batteries. I know it probably wouldn't hurt to leave them attached all Winter, but I do give them a break once in a while and unplug them for a week or so, maybe once every 6-8 weeks. I also blow out my system to winterize so antifreeze is only in the traps and toilet. I do also call my insurance agent and remove the collision etc because I know I'm not going to drive it - at least this winter. They sent me a nice refund check for taking off the collision part and I can call them up anytime to turn it back on.

This is just my opinion but most of what I've read or have seen in either YouTube videos or other forums state that you are not camping at a Walmart and should NOT extend slides or make campfires or start grilling your dinner etc. If you are really just wanting to get some rest, I don't think there are any motorhomes made that you can't lay on the bed with the slide closed. Yes I can't access a few drawers and 1 cabinet but laying on my bad is not a problem with the slide closed. I suppose that IF I knew I was going to stop and rest somewhere and I needed something (like a change of clothes) out of one of those drawers I would take it out before I started my trip. Now with that being said IF you went to a Walmart and parked along the back row and your bedroom slide was facing away from the store, well I doubt that you would have any problems or hear any complaints. Being a good temporary resident at a Walmart is what will keep them allowing us to use their parking lots for a one night stay at no cost to us. As far as to your question of jacks down and level before slides out: Yes my manual says to level first and I think there is a interlock switch so the jacks (at least one) has to be off the home position before the slides can be extended. But the coach doesn't have to be level for the slides to be extended. Now I personally think that is partly do to the fact that I have hydrolic slides and feel that they are stronger then any of the gear or cable systems that are on some coaches. So that might be something you would want to look for in your next MH you purchase. Again just my opinion.
