waynebeyer Report post Posted March 10, 2018 Arrived at campground could not open door had to force it open. Found what appears to be a safety bolt that comes down on top of the door did not retract. 2006 American Tradition. After a time it retracted on its own. Any idea what activates this? manholt Report post Posted March 10, 2018 On yours, I think it's air. Mine is a pneumatic door and the same bolt is located 4" above my door handle.

kaypsmith Report post Posted March 17, 2018 Welcome to the forum Flboatmech168. Does the handle indicate that you are a boat mechanic from or in Florida? If so, what part? Oh yes for the OP, maybe a little of the right kind of lubricant in addition to the other attention mentioned above.
manholt Report post Posted March 17, 2018 Waynebyer. Air! I found out how to adjust the door, by calling REV group Tech! It would help us a great deal more, if you would list: Make, Model and year of your RV!

obedb Report post Posted April 23, 2018 Opening a door should be very simple. Fancy stuff that does not work at times is dangerous. Shame on the industry.

There is a Pneumatic Entry Door Air Lock (optional). Is a unique feature that minimizes air intrusion, and wind noise when you are on the go. Rich.

If we have the same door this may be your issue. Mine was the striker plate was not completely touching the trigger to release the door latch. Hope this helps.
