Arizona Trip in March

We are planning a trip from Wisconsin to Arizona in March of this year (kind of last minute planners).  We are planning to go to Sedona, Grand Canyon, and Flagstaff and would like suggestions for other things to do and where to park our RV.   Will we have problems finding a full-service RV park with availability at this time of year?  Is there a sight-seeing train ride so we don't have to drive our RV through some of these areas?

There can be snow in that area in March. Been there in March and the roads were closed in Flagstaff.

Ed, While I cannot speak to March we did spend sometime in William AZ a few years ago in December and a few years prior in July. We really liked the town and while there we stayed here;

The train ride if you haven't done it was a lot of fun. The town of Williams was nice to walk around and check out the store fronts. I remember having a milkshake at a malt shop that looked like you fell back into the 50's. I could have sat there all day and took it in. It was called Twisters Soda Fountain and here is the link;

We where in the area in March of  2016 for FMCA Rally.  Camp Verde Casino RV Resort is real nice, but we had snow and Sedona had a lot of it...Grand Canyon was open, but too much snow for the train!  March is a roll of the dice!

Yes we went to the canyon after the rally in Chandler. There was a little snow on the ground under the trees and cold at night but warmed up during the day. I felt bad for the tent campers trying to stay warm.😀

Two years ago the first week in April, we hit a white out of snow for about 10 miles through Flagstaff and to the east on I-40.

Went out there with friends in March 2013.  I-10 from Houston, TX to Buckeye, AZ.  From Van Horn, TX. to Deming, NM. It was one big Dust Storm!  Next day from Deming to Benson, AZ. it was, Snow, Sleet and Rain, white out conditions on several occasions.  Benson to Buckeye, blue sky & warm weather for the next 2 weeks!

In March 2014, we had the same as above all the way to "Rocky Point, Mexico"!

In March 2016, same as above!  On all 3 trips, we left the first week of March...had no problems coming back home in early April.

Following month or so in Gold Canyon area, we did Distant Drums RV in Camp Verde in late March for a few days and used car to visit local sites, Jerome, train ride .. then did Williams for a couple days with train ride into and return from Grand Canyon..  Weather pretty uncertain for RV travel in that area for March so plan ahead. May not find good site at this late date?.
