cmcusn Report post Posted January 29, 2020 I was unable to properly winterize my 2017 discovery lxe, 40x, motorhome. went to prep for a trip, had to change out the toilet valve and turn the ice maker supply line off. When i turn the water on water will run off the roof. Has me baffled totally.
wolfe10 Report post Posted January 29, 2020 The only "high" water line I can think of is the one going to the top/back of the refrigerator.
richard5933 Report post Posted January 29, 2020 Possibly you've got fresh water running into the black tank, likely through a leak in the toilet. Wouldn't be the first time that a black tank overflowed through the roof vent and over the top of a coach.
txiceman Report post Posted January 30, 2020 Make sure you are hooked to the fresh water connection and not the black tank flush. Ken
jleamont Report post Posted January 30, 2020 Your only option at this point would be to have someone turn on the water while you stand on the ladder, see where it’s coming from.
kaypsmith Report post Posted January 30, 2020 I am wondering how large the stream is coming off the roof. Never heard of a leak off the roof from fresh water except as Ken and Richard suggested. Even ice makers are usually plumbed below the roof.
manholt Report post Posted January 30, 2020 Brett, good thinking! Also, if he has heat pump with AC and line is frozen or blocked it will overflow on roof! OP is in an area that dips cold at night only...Between 30/40 degrees the heat pump will show ICE. If your not in coach then the water will run when it thaws.
