wolfe10 Report post Posted March 9, 2020 Wayne, Welcome to the FMCA Forum. Did this slide malfunction start before or after replacing the batteries?
FarAndAway Report post Posted March 10, 2020 It was after the batteries were replaced but they were replaced because of the problem.

New to this game. Thanks Wayne, Welcome to the forum. Not enough info to give you a good answer. Have you tried with the unit plugged into shore power? With the generator running? With the main engine running? What are the directions from the manufacturer? Is the unit level? Bill
FarAndAway Report post Posted March 10, 2020 Thanks, Bill, I will try as you suggested. Do you mean coach level?
manholt Report post Posted March 10, 2020 Coach level, that = everything above ground. What system do you have, Lippper, HWH or Atwood?
Lenp Report post Posted March 11, 2020 Sounds to me like insufficient voltage issue. Check the voltage ACROSS the pump (assuming hydraulic operated) or motor if electric. Could be a bad ground connection. Lenp
manholt Report post Posted March 11, 2020 Lenp. Probably right, when it comes to elect that's number one culprit.
hermanmullins Report post Posted March 11, 2020 I have a question that is probably not answerable. "Why it is always a GROUND that is loose?" ????????? Herman
manholt Report post Posted March 11, 2020 That's easy! Overlooked, we think about battery posts, connections, wires and fuses...never, "what makes it all work?"

You check it at the battery terminal but how many check it and clean it where it connects to the frame? It might not be just loose but have a bad connection because of corrosion in the joint. FarAndAway Report post Posted March 26, 2020 I have the same rig with exactly the same problem and it ended up to be a loose electrical connector gong to the hydraulics under the step going into the coach. I hope you luck out and it's the same problem. Good luck, Wayne
