  1. I have changed my Ford V10's oil. I love how they put a crossmember right under the drain plug - not! Here's a solution to drain the oil away from a simple drop straight down - http://www.quickoildrainvalve.com/ One of the oil drain plug replacements has a nipple for attaching a hose to direct the flow away. I am considering purchasing one. Happy motoring! rB
  2. My kitchen cupboard doors are self-destructing! The 1999 Holiday Rambler is in Eugene Oregon, and has some humidity abatement -crystals, kitty litter. Should I be running my furnace occasionally to dry things out? How can I shrink the doors to their original dimension? In a warm oven? In the sunlight? Should I attempt a repair by gluing? Thanks for any suggestions. rB
  3. My Michelin Tires have an F load rating. Any good reason not to go up a rating, say to a G? Thanks. Rb
  4. When looking to save the info for a restaurant recommended by a fellow member, just go to Google Maps and put in the name of the biz and location. It will pinpoint the biz and with your GPS plugged into the computer, the location can be saved as a favorite. Choose SEND at the top right of the screen and a menu pops out - choose GPS. It will search for the device and once named by you by brand, will save it in your favorite list. Once you arrive in city just choose it from your favorites list and Bob's your uncle! Happy motoring!
  5. Thanks to all who shared their recommendations. It does seem like a great topic for a blog - you might even need a bowl of lemon water beside your keyboard if it's done right! I'm putting all of your recommendations into my GPS device. You all know how to add favouriites to your Garmin by just using Google maps right? Might be a topic for another discussion. Here's to that magical animal - the hog! Ramblinboy
  6. We're touring the SE US. Where's the best fall-off-the-bone, natural-smoked BBQ?
  7. The point is anybody have suggestions based on their experience. I've done a bit of digging anyone else care to add theirs. Maybe you can keep the ball rolling
  8. Thanks Paul. Sounds like it does the job! I believe the ceramic heaters don't put out as much CO2. Good advice not to use when sleeping!
  9. Thanks Bill. No shore power. I want to run off the propane main tank. Need to connect a line from there along and under the coach then up inside with a quick connect. There are ceramic propane heaters that need a window cracked for combustion air. Anybody have one? Thx Wayne
  10. Recommendations on heating the interior without running the furnace - anyone? http://www.mrheater.com/ProductFamily.aspx?catid=41 This heater can only be used in a recreational or commercial enclosure with a window or roof vent. It may also be used outdoors.

  12. Got a chance to demo a Nespresso machine - makes great espresso and the milk foamer works very well. $349 and much lighter than our two machine system. Just make sure your preheat everything - water, cups before you make a shot. http://www.nespresso.com/#/us/en/coffee_ma...-milk---titan-1
  13. Just placed an order for a Protect a Tow. Thanks to all in this discussion. Cheap price to pay to keep my toad a little cleaner and offer some protection while going down the road
  14. Thank you very much Donnie. I'll let you know how it works!
  15. We have a Rancilio Sylvia for home espresso/latte with a Rancilio Rocky grinder. We can produce lattes that are on par with high end coffee houses for breakfast coffee. They are both heavy machines. Anyone have lightweight alternatives? Any suggestions greatly appreciated!
