  1. The voltage checks, so we are back to a pressure issue.

The only thing up my sieve for now is what the pressure reading is on the jack manifold at some point  or right at one of the  jack connections.

What point , one you can access easily to connect the pressure gauge to.

With a reading , then is there a dump valve leek by or a pressure regulator. I'm not even sure there is one. Never ran into an issue quit like this one !

Always something different. Would not want it to get boring.

  2. The 3 solenoid coils that control the leveling are made by Deltrol Fluid Products and the number is 10162-76. The release/retract solenoid coil is made by Delta Power and the new number is P-DL-12 (old number 38400029).

Copy of information from a personal part file  used my system. The 2 are twins as far as I can see. The picture offered matches.

With this in mind, have you checked voltage at the pump when someone activates the leveling system. Yes, it sounds like a hydraulic issue, but verifying that voltage at the pump stay above 12.0 VDC is a reasonable, quick check.

Good point Brett! There is a power relay between the motor and 12 volt supply. Loose of voltage across the contacts could cause issues.

Relay is located at the top of the tank - near the high pressure manifold.

    Thanks Rich.

Yup. I have been dealing with this for about 2 years. I did find a bad ground and repaired it but that did not correct the problem.

Things are running, just lower pressure reading then required. The systems require 3000 psi.

You did post that the fluid level was checked at the  reservoir  tank. Jacks all up when the level was checked . Correct?

Original fluid was Dextron 3. Any other fluid used?

Thank you.For your info, the rear jacks can be operated one at a time or together, the front operate together

That is OK, not all system are plumbed the same.

Try to cycle each of the rear jacks one at a time . Note any differences.

Trying to see if there is air in the system at some point. Good news is I have located the Service information for that issue>

  6. The Plug you pictured in near the pump motor ground. I'm thinking it is a  Low pressure point . Are you using a personal pressure gauge?

The picture you first posted shows the 3 jack pressure valves and one return valve set off by its self.  The high pressure manifold with the 3 solenoids should have a test port.

No laboring equals  a blow by in the system. Is it at the motor? The problem could be in valve setting all by itself.  I do need to look up a file That I should have loaded on my hard drive.

Should I locate the proper PDF file I will forward a copy.

To narrow it down, see if you can locate a unused port in the main high pressure manifold.

I will continue to monitor the thread you are on as I proceed to look for information.

  7. Thanks for the picture and information.

Have you ever greased the jack cylinders? There is a small grease fitting on each jack, not hard to get to when the jacks are extended easier.

White Lithium grease,  an 2 squats in each fitting .A little goes along ways.

More inf to fallow. OK. next is a question. Where is the pressure gauge connected.

Lets start there, this pump and system does require some TLC,but for the most part is indestructible. That is the good part.

Do  the front jacks start to lift the coach?

Does the pump sound like it is laboring as the jacks extend, at this time I'm referring to the 2 front  jacks .

we have a 2004 Holiday Rambler Endevor, 38 foot. i need to replace the pump assemble and can not seem to find one. I guess mine is obsolete. Your help would be appreciated. The jacks (4) will extend but will not lift the coach to level. I had a pressure gauge installed and pump will only make 500psi. Was told by a tech that the pump needs to be replaced. Thanks

The pump pressure should read 3000 PSI.

Time to look an ask where and who runs the best hydraulic repair shop. Electric Hydraulic pumps are used in a number applications. Little or on snow in your part of the country. Look to the mountains where electric pumps are on many snow plows. I Had a HWH unit rebuilt years ago hear in the North East.

You live in a part of the country where funny cars and Rose bowl Floats are always being constructed.

Just for information on Apple HEIC pictures there are 3 ways I know of converting them so they can be read by all on forums.

Export them from Apple Photo, Export them from Apple Preview, and a stand alone converter, iMaxing HEIC Converter.

If anyone wants to see the OP's pictures I can convert them easily and re-post.

Thanks for the information and your offer.

I would like a of the copy of the files. You can attach them to a PM for me.

Thank you! This is a picture of the top...

This picture. it looks like there is a vacuum line connected to the unit. Engine vacuum is created even when the engine is turning over. Definitely more when running.

. Does the bottom of the item look like this picture?

  11. Gentlemen, here is the long awaited update on my situation. I made it run. I replaced the distributor cap, rotor, spark plugs and coil. I disconnected the fuel line and caught the gas from the line in a jar. I cranked the engine and sprayed carb cleaner in the carburator, like suggested above. It came right on.

Good news Andy!  The silver item pictured Is used as pressure gauge measuring point also mentioned By Kay.

The new fuel and the carb cleaner. You might want to add Lucas carburetor cleaner or some Stable to the fuel tank  if the fuel is going to set in the tank for extended periods of time.

The other item to work on is the vacuum lines. They break down over time.

    Rich.

  12. With the issues of using ethanol fuels with flexible fuel lines. and the difficulty replacing some of them, one might consider an option.

This is one supplier among a number of other possibilities.

     https://www.driftmotion.com/Parker-7212-3-8-Jiffy-Hose-p/dm2033.htm

There are also a number for manufactures that also supply flexible lines for Bio fuels.

Living with Ethanol mixed fuels cab be challenging. One can buy Ethanol free fuel. For many the new electric power tools work well, but logging companies and the forestry services Electric powered equipment is not practical.

    Rich.

  13. Andy, You can pickup an inexpensive fuel pressure gauge with some adapters to connect it to the fuel system line feeding the carburetor.

Rebuilding carburetors can be challenging with limited tools. A new base gasket is not to bad a job.

When we talk on the phone we can exchange more detailed information,

    Rich

  14. FYI, this fact has gotten lost, because of the length of the thread.

"I have an Onan RV OG 7000 gas model that starts and runs for a few then stalls out. The generator has a total of 140 hrs. on it. Stored over the winter."

Think it might be time to spray some carb cleaner in to the carburetor each time it starts. corn based additives added to fuel messes up the seals, primarily in the float,  needle and seat area.

    Rich.

  15. Andy. I'm leaning more and more towards the the carburetor Float and needle valve being the primary source of your issue.

Complete the task offered by Brett!

While you are out - if you do not have a can of car cleaner, pick one up.

On most carburetors there is a vent hole in the center of the carb. right next to the threaded rod used to secure the air cleaner. One can spray some cleaner into the hole and let it set for an Hr. or so. If the is dirt or varnish clogging things up, the cleaner should make changes in the fuel flow rate. Might not totally clear up the issue, but very often things change enough to make a sizable difference.

    Rich.

  16. When traveling We pick up all RX from a large chain store. They Always have access to the records and will fill them.

If there is an issue, call your Doctor, check with you insurance carrier and they will pass on the needed information to any Apothecary / Drug store in you area.

Cell phones with WiFi or Text capability work. NOW, there are some areas where one might need to find a secure network. Personal hot spot works quite well.

Do your homework before traveling and know your options.

    Rich.

  17. Andy, at this point the engine could be flooded. Let it set for like 5 to 10 min. Then try again. What is the temperature where you are at the time?

Regarding the resistor and the way the engine quit. Knowing how, kind of took the resistor out of the equation for me.

Do You have any starter spray? A quick 2 shots and cranking the engine to see if if fires would eliminate a number of things.

Does anyone remember if the 1976 440 have an iginition module in the distributor?

    Herman

When an ECM system was used it was not required. The ECM was adjusting the Dwell. On the systems with points a vacuum advance system was used.

Now, one has to remember that was many years ago. so regarding that issue, there is more dust between the ears gray matter!  LOL
