  1. I tow a pair of Saturns 4 down with disappearing brackets. One is a sc2 sports car bright yellow they called the yellow jacket only weights 2400 pounds and the station wagon LW1 only weighs 3000 pounds. No effort to tow and easy to hook up and go. People here in Californina don't tend to use tow dollys or trailers due to the smaldl size of most rv spaces. We can barely get slides out on each side and still park a car only. Bebop
  2. Welcome and enjoy your new motorhome. Bill
  3. Good helpful tips. Thanks, folks. Bebop
  4. I have a similiar problem and the shop tells me that I have a wind leak either around the right side of the windshield or around the door. they say a glass shop can pump in sealer behind the rubber that the glass seats in and reseal the windshield. the door seal can be shimmed out or replaced. I will try first one and then the other come spring time. I also notice that this being on the right side It is usually heard when going around a curve to the left. The tech sez that is because the body and windshield opening do a little flexxing when going around curves at hiway speed. Bebop Rexhall Rexair
  5. no doubt your guage is faulty. they often get junk across the contacts to actuate your lights and need to be cleaned periodically. this also happen with the black tank. Some people suggest dumping a lot of ice cubes and some water in the tank And then drive around with it and that will clean the contacts. there are also chemicals available at your RV store that will clean the contacts. 6. only 1 in Califorina, and the max length is 65 feet overall. when I was full timing I used to see tandem hookups coming out of Oklahoma into south Texas and that was legal in those two states but it seems to me that at that time in the 80's those were the only two states that allowed tandem hookups. Look in the good sam rv park directory for that information. bebop
  7. I can sure understand your pain. We went through it also with a new Rexhall rexair we bought in the middle summer of 2004. it spent most of the first two years in the Local warranty shop and then off and on since. we had 145 warranty repairs made. We have other problems now but the company is in bankruptcy also so I guess it is a do it your self projects. I had problems that required return to the factory and I refused to pay the cost for the return. they sent a driver that obviously had never driven a large class A motorhome and after fueling it up he swing out from the fuel pump and consequently drug the entire side against the concrete pillar that protects the pumps from drivers like him. We then attempted to have it filed under the lemon law and I hired the best attorney for the job in California, however they finally decided Rexhall would be broke and out of business before the appeals were exhausted which could take 2 years and so they wouldn't proceed with the case on a contingency. they were right. Now we are advised the coach is under recall and unsafe to drive becacuse the brakes are failing on 49,000 workhorse chasses. I don't know when it will be safe to drive again. We just cancelled our vacation of 2500 miles roundtrip to my 59 year class reunion. (maybe it is time to go back to tenting:) I hope your problems are easiesr resolved then mine are.
  8. I am totally amazed that there is so little publicity about this serious brake problem on the Workhorse Chassis. there are 49,000 Motorhomes being recalled because the brakes have been deemed unsafe. I wouldn't even know about it if i wasn't a member of the workhorse chasis forum. I have cancelled a major trip for this summer because I feel my motorhome is unsafe to drive in the mountains even though it only has 10,000 miles on it. It is already exhibiting some of the signs of the brake failure problem. I have no idea how many years it is going to take to change the brakes on all these motorhomes. the future looks bleak Bebop
  9. Montie, I have bought many RVs over many years and the only mistake I feel I have made is buying a large Class A with slideouts on each side, making me near 15 feet wide and effectively blocking me from probably well over 1/2 of the RV parks in the U.S. That leaves no room for the toad, or much of anything else as lot of parks are 18 foot wide. My other concern is the Workhorse Chassis, which is now embroiled in a bitter brake recall campaign. It seems most of our motorhomes are unsafe to drive now and with 49,000 of them to put new brakes on, I wonder what year we can take our next vacation. Warranty is really important. Our current coach had 145 warranty items the first two years and yet Rexhall made good on every one of them, so the anufacturer's reputation is really critical regarding warranty issues. Best regards, Bebop Bill
  10. Just put Condor Motorhome Manual in your google search engine and you will find people's posts that own Condor Motrohomes going clear back to 1965 and I saw up to 2002. I am sure some of these people will have the same unit you do and will be able to point you to a manual or possibly copy theirs for you. Bebop, San Jose, CA
  11. HI DBECK, I don't have the answer you are looking for but I do have a clue. My Rexhall was brand new and one of the headlight assy's was damaged. The dealer found out it was a Ford unit from a current year Lincoln Car. this might give you a starting place to look by getting a part number and then start running it by Auto dealers Parts guys or even better yet, ask your Dealer Bebop
  12. I don't have that info but if you don't get it here go to the National Forum and ask there: http://www.irv2.com/forums/f105/ there are a lot of National owners there and some of them should have the info you are looking for as well as other info you need for your rig. Bebop
  13. my Rexhall bedroom slide would creep out about an inch plus when parked in storage. It is hydraulic. they found a bad oring on the valve spool for that slide control. They replaced the entire spool because it was still under warranty. No problem since. Bebop San Jose, CA
