  1. I have a love seat sized jack-knife sofa on my curb side slide out that I want to replace with a wall hugger love seat duel recliner. I have been surfing the internet but have not found what I'm looking for. I was at the Dallas RV show last week and saw a large 5th wheel that had exactly what I'm looking for. However, I was not able to find any manufacturer's tag on it. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you, Ron Jacobs 2005 Inspire #51264
  2. Brett, Thanks for your help. I do have the Holland Neway IFS front suspension. However, my rear suspension is not Holland Neway. My owners manual is in my coach. As I recall my rear suspension is Alvin Monitor I can confirm that in about a week when I return back home. Again thanks, I'll get back to you when I get home. RJ 2005 CC Inspire #51264
  3. I have a 2005 Country Coach Inspire #51264. I would like to replace my Koni SP1 shocks with the new more robust Koni SP3 shocks. When I called Koni, they told me they needed my existing shock part numbers so they could cross reference them to the new SP3 shocks. I can't read the part number on the rear shocks without pulling one. I seem to remember someone posting the Koni SP3 shock numbers for my coach. Can anyone direct me to that post? Thank you, Ron Jacobs
  4. I installed the ScanGauge D last year in my 2005 CC Inspire. All I can say is I LOVE IT. It does all it claims. The constant digital readout is a real plus because I only have analog gauges in my dash. Easy install & hookup. RJ 2005 Inspire #51264
  5. My four year old house batteries are becoming a little weak, So, I have been looking into new house batteries. I've decided to stay with flooded acid batteries because of initial investment cost. Upon research, I've found that I can buy (Sam's Energizer) 107 minutes at 75 amps for $84.00 or (Trojan) 115 minutes at 75 amps for $125.00, or (Interstate) 122 minutes at 75 amps for $135.00. It seems the price goes up faster than the battery capacity goes up. I need to keep my new Samsung RF-18 refrigerator running on my inverter, a MSW 2000w, while on the road. My question is, will the lower capacity battery make any realized difference when I'm on the road? RJ 2005 CC Inspire #51264
  6. I just installed my Samsung RF18 (new model) refrigerator. Last week I rewired it from the main breaker panel to the main inverter panel. I ran the refrigerator for about 1.5 hours on the inverter without any evidence of a problem. I will give it a longer test during my first trip out this year scheduled in early April. 7. Tom, I'm a DIY kind of guy so I enjoy the challenge and woodworking is my area of specialty so trimming out the frig is an easy task for me. A couple of examples of work I've done the sliding counter extension and the hardwood hickory floor. RJ 2005 Inspire #51264
  8. Yesterday I changed Samsung refrigerator power from the main house panel to the main inverter panel. The new Samsung RF18 model operated for 1.5 hour on the modified sine wave inverter without any issues that I noticed. This indicates, although more run time is needed, that the new model Samsung refrigerator will operate fine on a modified sine wave inverter. RJ 2005 Inspire #51264
  9. Our part time home is a 2005 Country Coach 36' Inspire. It has a 400 HP Cat engine that has performed well for us. I have installed the wet PTO kit and had the aluminum radiator replaced when it started leaking. I am a woodworker so I have done many interior mods Our towed is a 2012 Ford Explorer. Pic attached (I think)
  10. The lack counter space in our 36' Country Coach has always been an issue for my DW & I. So I decided to build a sliding extension where we have a small stack of drawers in the galley. The project turned out quite well so, now that I have learned how to attach pics to my posts, I thought I would share these pics. RJ 2005 Inspire #51264
  11. I'll try to attach a few pics of my floor change out.
  12. I replaced my carpet last year with engineered hardwood, hickory, last fall. I used a polyurethane adhesive and haven't had any problems. The job turned out great and the floor looks great. I'd attach pics but haven't had any luck doing that in the past. RJ 2005 Inspire #51264
  13. We plan to take the grand kids to Chicago this summer. We would like to spend several nights near the downtown area convenient to the museums and other downtown attractions. I haven't had any luck locating any full hookup campgrounds anywhere close to downtown. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you, Ron Jacobs 2005 Inspire #51264

  15. Jim, Yes, you must seal off the ceiling and back vents. The Samsung draws its air from under the frig. You just need to make sure the floor area remains unobstructed. What are you doing with all the water and electrical stuff under the frig? RJ 2005 inspire #51264
  16. Today I installed a new floor in the refrigerator recess for my Samsung RF 18. I had to lower the floor by 1 1/2 inch for my new Samsung to to clear the coach ceiling. All went according to plan without any major issues. I still need to install the water proof liner and seal all joints/cracks and anchor the refrigerator to the floor. I have taken several pictures but have not been able to post pics to this forum. Any advice would on how to post pics would be appreciated. RJ 2005 Inspire #51264
  17. Test Pic Can you open this attached picture? RJ 2005 Inspire #51264
  18. Missed by ½ inch. After removing my Norcold and carefully measuring the height of my opening v/s the height of my new Samsung RF18 refrigerator I came to the realization that my new refrigerator is ½ inch taller than the opening in my 2005 Inspire. Bummer! So today I ripped the refrigerator floor out of my coach. As is so often the case, it was more involved than I anticipated. After removing the screws from under the floor I expected to be able to lift the floor up and out right? Wrong! The floor extends beyond the side walls about ½ inch. I had to saw the floor in half in order to remove it. The good news is, I will be able to lower the floor an inch and a half and still retain the drawers under the refrigerator. I plan to begin reconstructing the floor soon after Thanksgiving. RJ 2005 Inspire #51264
  19. Sorry I don't have anything to update. My Samsung refrigerator is sitting in my galley. I have had other priorities this past week. The delivery went without any problems. The old Norcold and the new Samsung fit through the door without any problems. I did remove the passenger seat and the refrigerators doors for entry. I plan to begin the Samsung install tomorrow. I will post my progress. RJ 2005 inspire #51264
  20. I'll take pics as I progress. RJ 2005 Inspire #51264
  21. Today I removed my Norcold 1200LRIM refrigerator. I must say, so far, the project has been mush easier than I anticipated. The hardest part was breaking the original factory seal due to all the silicone that was used. I think the cube I constructed so the refrigerator could be slid out on the same level as its original install made it a relatively easy task. Tuesday I will receive my new Samsung RF18HFENBSR refrigerator and begin the installation shortly thereafter. RJ 2005 Inspire #51264
  22. Thanks Herman, I'll check out the Butler's postings. RJ 2005 Inspire #51264
  23. I'm going to replace my Norcold 1210 four door refrigerator with a Samsung residential refrigerator. My Norcold is in very good working condition. If you are in need of parts please contact me. Ron Jacobs 2005 CC Inspire #51264
  24. During my 3,300 mile journey last month my engine temperature suddenly started to climb during a few of our driving segments. Fortunately I have installed the fan controller by-pass switch on my control panel so I was able to switch my fan to high as needed. During most of this trip the fan would go into high speed at 207 degrees and switch to a lower speed at about 200 degrees. I was able to track this as I can hear the fan when it's on high. The fact that this happened very inconsistently leads me to believe my CAC temp sensor or my engine temp sensor are malfunctioning. So, today I went to my coach to check the ohms resistance of my sensors. According to the Sauer Danfoss Technical Information manual they should read between 1.2k to 3.0k ohms at the engine side of the 6 connector pin across pins C&D for coolant and E&F for charge air. FINALLY TO MY PROBLEM! I only have a three pin connector coming from my fan controller. The Sauer Danfoss technical information manual does not address my three pin configuration setup. Can someone shed some light on my situation? 2005 Country Coach Inspire #51264 Cat C-9 engine S/N 9DG01439 FAN CONTROLLER: Sauer-Danfoss 0418 1090385 FDCA NC 12 VDC 1.2A HP 3000 S/W PARAMETERS: PO184204026A S/N: 1215877 Thank You, Ron Jacobs
  25. I replaced my carpet with engineered wood. This was a DIY project, it was not difficult. About 16 hours of labor and I had the floor less moldings completed. I am very pleased with the result. RJ 2005 Inspire #51264
