  1. I just changed my fuel filter & water separator and now my coach won't start. I have a 2005 Inspire with the Cat C9 engine. After I changed the filters I started the coach It ran for about 30 seconds, started missing and then died. I have not been able to start it since. I know I have air trapped in the fuel system but I don't know how to bleed the system. Advise appreciated. Thank you, Ron Jacobs 2005 Inspire #51264
  2. The coolant expansion tank reservoir cap (radiator cap) on my 05 Inspire is a 16 lb cap. A 16 lb pressure cap seems rather high to me. My engine is the Cat C9 serial #9DG01439. I am the second owner so I don't know if this is the original cap. Feedback is appreciated. Thanks, RJ 05 Inspire #51264
  3. Jerry, I also have an 05 Inspire Siena 36' #51264. I had the same wandering problem you are experiencing. After two alignments (I have the factory alignment spec) the wandering improved but was not eliminated. This week I installed the Steer Safe steering stabilizer on my coach. I have only driven it about 30 miles for a test run, but I can say the handling has improved significantly. I can now control it with just one hand on the wheel without constantly adjusting the steering. Next month my wife and I will embark on a month long 3,600 mile journey which will be the true test for this stabilizer. I can probably scan the alignment spec I have from CC and send it to you if you are interested. I also have new Michelin XZA3 tires on the coach which did improve the handling some. I bought my coach about this time last year. I have serviced & checked most every component along with a little updating. Don't forget about the PTO wet spline upgrade & the latest Norcold refrigerator recall, these are important. If you have any other questions let me know. RJ 2005 Inspire #51264
  4. Brett, I have adjusted valves in gas engines solid lifter as well as hydraulic lifter engines. I assume my Cat C9 adjustment is similar? You don't by chance live in the Dallas area do you? Thanks, RJ 2005 Inspire #51264
  5. Can valve lash adjustment be a DIY project? RJ 2005 Inspire
  6. I'm using 15w40 Cat branded and recommended. RJ 2005 Inspire #51264
  7. I'll soon be changing the oil in my Cat C-9 engine. Last year, the first time I changed the oil, I used the Cat labeled oil (not sure who makes it). My oil pressure seems to run a little low. Fully warmed up about 20 psi at idle and about 34 psi at 1,650 crusing rpm. Is there a documented oil that will increase my oil pressure a little? Thanks in advance for your advise; RJ 2005 Inspire #51264
  8. Thanks, my setup is like yours, so I guess my temps are ok. RJ
  9. Brett, My temperature sending unit is located in the line going out to the cooler. So I guess my temperature running at 220 is fine. My transmission cooler is intergraded into my engine radiator. If it were to develop a leak I would have a real (expensive) mess on my hands. For this reason, would you recommend I install an exterior stack transmission cooler. If you do, can you give me recommendations as to where I can buy the right cooler. I live in the Dallas area. Thanks again, RJ
  10. Brett, Yes I have checked the transmission fluid level using the shift pad. I got a reading of oLoK. My dipstick also says my fluid level is full. Yes the temperatures have not changed since I changed the filters and fluid. Sorry for the error, yes I used Transynd TES-295. Thanks, RJ
  11. I have a 2005 Country Coach 36' with the Cat C-9 400 HP engine and the Allison transmission: Model HD3000MH, S/N 6510488801 04C24. I have changed the filters to the new high capacity filters and changed the fluid to the TES-95 fluid. My transmission temperature runs at about 220 degrees. The temp sending unit is located on the left outlet hose coming out of the transmission. Is this operating temperature OK? or should I be concerned? Thank you, Ron Jacobs CC #51264
  12. We are planning a trip beginning around the middle of August through about the middle of September. We will start from Dallas, drive to Palo Duro Canyon just South of Amarillo, from there our planed stops are Raton NM, Estes Park CO, Casper WY, Yellow Stone WY, Salt Lake City UT, St George UT, Grand Canyon East Rim, Grants NM, Carlsbad Caverns, Colorado City TX and then on home. We are looking for Motor Home campground recommendations (two coaches 40ft length). Nice camps with full hookups & views are preferred. We also like to bike, hike, fish and generally enjoy nature. Your recommendations would be appreciated! Thank you, RJ 2005 Inspire #51264

  14. I have a 2005 Country Coach Inspire 330 with a 400 Cat engine and an Allison transmission, Model HD3000HH, S/N 6510488801 My problem is I can't get the transmission to go into Economy Mode. When I push the mode button an amber light illuminates next to the mode button but the special function (ECONOMY) does not appear on the MODE ID label adjacent to the MODE button. Can anyone shed some light on this issue? RJ 2005 Inspire F423965

  18. Brett, I do have an Echo charger that was factory installed in the coach. Would you please walk me through the procedure I should take to trouble shoot this thing? Thanks, RJ 423965
  19. I need some help! I have a 2005 Country Coach Inspire 330 Today, after two months in storage, without being started, my chassis battery is discharged. I have had the coach plugged into 110/120 VAC shore power. My Xantrex Freedom panel shows my DC Volts at 14.0. I have NOT had my inverter turned on. My question is, do I need my inverter/charger on to charge my chassis battery? Thank you, FMCA #423965 RJ
