  1. Thanks Brett, I'm sure, as you stated, it's probably filtered through my engine air intake filter but I'll check it out. Thanks for your feedback. RJ 2005 Inspire #51264
  2. I have a 2005 Country Coach Inspire with a Cat C9 engine, serial #9DG01439. My question is, does my engine mounted air compressor require any maintenance. Logic tells me that the air intake should have some kind of a filter. I have reviewed my owners manual but didn't find any mention of a filter for the compressor air intake. Any information regarding this will be appreciated. Thank you, Ron Jacobs 2005 Inspire #51264
  3. I replaced the carpet in my Country Coach last fall. For me, it was a DIY project, not difficult. The entire job took me about 16 hours not including the transition molding strips. I went with engineered hardwood. Turned out great. I'll try and attach a pic. RJ 2005 Inspire #51264

    ECU Flash

Brett, I have 37k miles on it. I had the valve adjustment done in Dec of 2013 by Holt Cat in Dallas. I drive between 62-65 mph. I always use the economy mode, unless I forget to engage it. My loaded travel weight is 30,680 + 4,840 lb toad = 35,520 gross weight. I average 6.6 mpg. 2005 CC Inspire 330 #51264 RJ

    ECU Flash

I recently called the Cat hotline to ask them if my ECU flash needs to be updated. They could not tell me when it was flashed last. Todd's recommendation was to NOT flash the ECU unless I'm having issues, which I am not. I told Todd I was hoping to improve my MPG by having my ECU flashed. Todd said that an MPG improvement is possible but not everyone see improvement when they have their ECU flashed. I'm looking for feedback from anyone who has had their ECU flashed on a Cat C-9 engine. Did you see any fuel economy improvement? Thank you in advance for your input! RJ 2005 Inspire #51264.
  6. We are planning to travel from Breckenridge to Durango CO this summer. My Google map routes us South on hwy 285 to 160 West. 160 West to Durango looks challenging. I will be in a 40ft class A pulling toad for a total length of about 60 ft. I'm looking for feedback from those that have gone before on this route. Thank you. RJ 2005 Inspire #51264
  7. Here are a few pics of the counter extension I recently completed. It turned out better than I expected. I thought some might enjoy. RJ 2005 Inspire #51264
  8. Herman, When I do a search for North Texas Alignment I only get a hit for North Texas Alignment in Boyd TX. I'm not getting anything in Savoy. Can you give me their phone number? Thanks, RJ 2005 Inspire #51264
  9. Mark, I flat tow a 2012 Ford Explorer. I tow with the transmission in neutral and the ignition in the off position. I have the keyless starting system without an ignition lock. I had to add a charge circuit from my coach to the Explorer battery because my battery would drain. I run the engine for about 5 minutes every 4 hours of towing per my owners manual. I have towed the Explorer for about 16,000 miles now without any problems. However, I suggest researching what is recommended for your vehicle. Good Luck, RJ 2005 CC Inspire #51264
  10. Rich & Herman, Thanks for your responses. I finally was able to attach my alignment specification document by saving it as a PDF file. Please open it and give me your thoughts on my alignment vs the specifications. Sorry to say, I will not be going to Perry for the FMCA rally. It is my understanding that my chassis is a Dynomax chassis that was made in house by Country Coach. Herman thanks for the heads up on North Texas Alignment, I plan to call them for an appointment. Thanks, RJ 2005 Inspire #51264
  11. Sorry, the document did not paste correctly. I had the alignment spec's in a word document. I'll try this again. When I try to attach the alignment spec document, I get this message "you aren't permitted to upload this kind of file. Can someone tell me what kind of documents I can download? Thank you, RJ
  12. Last year I had my Country Coach aligned by a Locally recommended specialist. Recently I completed a 3,200 mile trip from Dallas to Florida. I wasn't totally happy with the coach's handling. Over the last two years much has been done to improve the road handling/wandering. I have added SteerSafe, new, custom made, anti sway bushings, new Michelin tires inflated to proper weight tables, set ride height and had an alignment. Today, I compared the Country Coach alignment specifications to my actual alignment. My actual alignment appears to be considerably different from the CC specs. Sadly, I don't know enough about actual alignment vs specs to analyze my setup. I looking for analysis/recommendations from forum members with greater alignment experience than I have. Please see file below. Your help will be appreciated. RJ 2005 Inspire 330 36' #51264 Alignment Comparison Specs vs Actual PDF.pdf
  13. I have a Norcold 1200 series refrigerator in my motor home. How can I tell if the cooling fans are working? Thank you, RJ 2005 Inspire #51264
  14. Thanks for all the tips to trace my squeak. I have narrowed it down to my belt tensioner spring, I think. A little lube on the spring and it seems to have stopped. Again thanks for all the advise. RJ 2005 Inspire #51264
  15. I just replaced my engine air filter with a new Fleetguard air filter. I pusher the button on the gauge to reset it. After driving the coach I noticed the filter minder is at 22 about 3/4 of the way to the red portion. Any thoughts on the problem/resolution would be appreciated. Thank you, RJ 2005 Country Coach Inspire, Cat C9 Engine
  16. I just came back from running the coach. Yes the squeak does increase with the engine rpm. I think the squeak may be coming from the air conditioner pulley. I removed the serpentine belt and spun the pulley by hand. It spun easily and made no noise that I could discern. However, under a load it may be a different story. Thoughts Please! PS. Herman, I'm not far from you up in Prosper/Celina RJ 2005 Inspire #51264
  17. Yes, the noise is constant. It does not stop after a few minutes All conditions I think, however, I don't know when rolling down the road because I don't hear it inside the coach. Not sure if it changes with rpm's, I'll have to check that one I have checked the idler pulleys, they look fine. Any Thoughts? RJ 2005 CC Inspire #51264
  18. I seem to have developed, for lack of a better description, a squeaking noise in the area of my engine compartment. I have been under the coach and have found nothing suspicious. My serpentine belt is only two years old and appears fine, I have checked my idler pulleys, they also seem OK. My coach is a 2005 Country Coach Inspire with the Cat C9 engine & 33K miles. Soon I plan on taking an extended trip in the coach. I just don't want to be overlooking anything that may cause me trouble down the road. Any suggestions/help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, RJ 2005 CC Inspire #51264
  19. Last month I replaced the carpet in my 2005 Country Coach Inspire with engineered hardwood. The job turned out great. I don't have any scraping when the slides are moved in & out. This was a two day project, not including the trim out pieces. RJ 2005 Inspire #51264
  20. I have a 2005 Country Coach Inspire 330 #51264 with a Cat C-9 Engine. My all aluminum radiator is starting to leak. The company I have a warranty service agreement with will replace my radiator with a like kind and quality radiator. They have proposed replacing it with an all aluminum radiator from Brice Thomas in Gadsden, AL. I have read many posts on this and other forums that don't recommend replacing with another aluminum radiator. My question is, are there quality aluminum radiators available that will stand up to the heat and vibrations in this type of application or is my only safe choice to go with a copper & steel radiator? Your feedback is greatly appreciated. Thank you, Ron Jacobs 2005 Inspire 330 #51264
  21. I have a 2005 CC Inspire #51264 with a Cat C-9 Engine Serial # 9DG01439. My normal operating temperature when fully warmed up runs between 200-205 degrees F. I usually run at 65 mph, my temperature remains fairly constant regardless of ambient temperature or when pulling grades. My question is, is this operating temperature normal/ok. Thank you, RJ
  22. I got mine at NAPA. Works great! RJ 2005 Inspire #51264
  23. I have a 2005 Inspire 330 #51264. I would like to check the chassis freon pressure before I embark on a rather long summer trip. I have two questions; How do I know which freon is in my system. 134A seems to be what is readily available. The instructions on the freon cans say "locate the low pressure port" I have located a port but how do I know if it's the low pressure port? Any thoughts positive or negative regarding using the freon kits with hose & gauge that all auto parts store carry. Thank you, RJ 2005 Inspire #51264
  24. Thanks Brett, I do have the secondary fuel filter with the manual primer pump. Your guidance worked perfect, I'm back in business. Thanks again. RJ 2005 Inspire #51264
