  3. According to Amazon (in the US), Nelson 84101B is now Fleetguard 84101B which means it should be available at any Cummins dealer. Also available from Amazon (US) for a box of 6 for $69.21 & FREE Shipping. Racor is a division of Parker. Look for Racor filter IN HC5710. Also believe HC5710 is the same as Fleetguard HF6777.
  4. I'll throw another variable into situation: Radial Force Variation (See Wikipedia). Briefly, you can have a tire which is perfectly round and perfectly balanced, but have an uneven Radial Force Variation (RFV). What this means is the tire has a soft or hard spot(s) on it. As the tire rotates against the road and encounters the soft/hard spot, a vibration will occur. If found, these not fixable. They came from the manufacturer that way. Although relatively easy to measure, most (all?) tire shops do not have the capabilty to do so. The only fix is to replace the tire with hopefully a good one. Most large OEM's have a specs for RFV. Maybe the tire manufacturers send out of spec ones to the aftermarket. On another note, don't assume the vibration is coming from the front just because you feel it there. It could just as easily be coming from the rear (such as a prop shaft out of phase).
  5. On my 2004 Monaco, my door was getting harder to open. Trying to fix it made things worse (couldn't open it at all). Fortunately, like you, my wife was inside. What I finally found that as the door hinge wears slightly (almost imperceptibly), the door presses down on the 2 latch pins in the left side door jam. Loosening those 2 latch pins and lowering them slightly fixed my problem (they’re adjustable). My door works great now.
  6. E-mails are notoriously unsecure, as evidenced by the almost daily stories in the media about leaked emails, texts, photos, etc.. My personal rule is to never put anything in an email, text, or on social media, etc. that I wouldn't want to see on front page of a newspaper or circulated on the internet. Privacy is a bygone concept. Sad but true.
  7. I recently managed to get my diesel pusher MH off the edge of my driveway and stuck into a snowbank. Stupid, I know. I called Good Sam Roadside Assistance. The rep. I talked to couldn't make any decisions on her own - everything had to be checked with her supervisor. I was told I had to clear the snow away and call back when done! I'm 73. I made a token effort and called back. They said they would send a tow truck. Tow truck (huge) arrived promptly and had me out in a jiffy. Great service by the tow company! Dealing with Good Sam Roadside Assistance stinks.
  8. We use PdaNet+ on an Android phone from Verizon (Google http://www.junefabrics.com/index.php). With PdaNet+ the phone can be used as a hot spot or as a tether to your phone. You have full access to the Internet and NO data charges. You can download it for free from Google Play store. You can use it without a license but your sessions will be interrupted requiring you to sign on again. Or you can buy a license like I did. Normally a one time charge of $14.94, but currently on sale for $7.95. Best investment I've made. Note: The ability to use PdaNet+ on a few newer phones is blocked (cell carriers weren't making any money on it). Be sure to check to make sure your phone is PdaNet+ capable.
